Space Mountain: Clothing Optional - All done and true even if it is April Fool's

I can't believe the amount of posts you have! Where are you at for school?

I post a lot on the random thread over on the community board :)
I go to SUNY Fredonia, about an hour outside of Buffalo. I'm an early childhood/childhood education major.

Treyner spent the night sharing a hospital bed with me and me trying to keep my arms in the air so they could take the blood pressure and stats throughout the night without waking him.

Know what he said?

"I can have a birthday party anytime so I cancelled it and told my friends I would reschedule when you were out of the hospital. But Mom, I can only have my real birthday with you on my birthday.

That is so freakin' sweet. It definitely brought tears to my eyes.

But it didn't surprise me at all. I knew that about Treyner when he took one look at this ancient fat lady (that would be me!) at Hollywood Studios and said, "Hello Beautiful." He is beyond cute!! :) (and I mean on the inside this time, not the outside)

Treyner is too sweet!! What a wonderful son!
No wonder you're all weepy at his leaving. Safe travels to him! I hope he doesn't have any further weather issues.

A lot is an understatement! You have a gift of type! :worship:

He ran from A to Z in Detroit because they landed at 2:20 and his flight was at 2:30. Arrived at 2:35 to find out it was delayed! :worship: So he should be getting into Knoxville at about 5:30 from the scheduled 4:10 time but hopefully he will make it and who cares if he is late!:worship:

Oi! Detroit is NOT an airport I like to be delayed getting to. You have to run FOREVER to get to your next gate and let's face it, I'm old and fat. I'm glad Treynor didn't miss his flight though. Let us know when he lands in Knoxville. I worry.

NWA.com is reporting that the flight has now actually left Detroit and is scheduled to land at 5:17. It's snowing here with lots of accidents so I'll be giving myself 45 minutes or so to get to the airport, hopefully with no troubles I'll be there in plenty of time to Treyner. I'll update y'all when I can. :)

Dawn, my thoughts and prayers are with you and Treyner. I hope his new school will be a good fit for him. I can only imagine the stress you must be going through waiting for him to arrive safely. Our children grow up but they are always are babies!

I have never been to that airport but when he talked to me he was huffing and puffing (swearing maybe :rolleyes1) and saying he was sweating his hind end off. He had a European back pack with him for his carry on and his small back pack for his laptop. Only to find out it was delayed and that was actually a blessing or he would be laying on the seats in the terminal all night.

He has not called yet and was supposed to have landed already. Shannn has said the roads are really bad - she is not even at the airport yet - 2 mile an hour conditions and bridges closed.

In fact he my be getting to his orientaion late if at all tom since he has to go through mountain passes to get to Anderson. There is a major interstate that has been shut sown for a few months do to a landslide so you take all these hinky back highways and wind through the mountains to get there now. The detour took a normally 2 1/2 hour drive to 4 hours. In good weather!

Thank you Shannn for doing this for my kid. You are an angel! :littleangel::angel:

Amen. Even with size 13 shoes and stinky soccer gloves. I always tell him if he is going to get killed it better be from me not some stupid accident or drunk driving or suicide or drugs etc, etc. That I would revive him at the hospital justto kick his tukkus if he ever did anything stupid.

Nothing says love like that in this warped house! :lmao:

I am usually not a supersticious person or hinkie hooey believer but how much can go wrong and not be pointing to get thee @ss off of the plane.

I didn't realize he was coming through today. :scared1: Of all days, he had to come through on the day of snow... Now, I know you guys get a ton more snow than we do but our roads and road crews can't handle it. Our roads are also hilly and curvy. We currently have about a half inch but it was melting and refreezing underneath. Main roads and interstates are fine, it is the backroads that are a problem, at least right now. Tell him to be very careful on the drive to SC!

He is there...on the ground...and he is waiting to get off the plane...meet up with Shannon and then sit in a space bigger than an airplane seat or terminal seat!

Time left from our house this morning:

6:15 a.m. (central time)

Time arrived finally in Knoxville:
4:25 p.m. (central time) 5:25 p.m. eatern time

Hours - 10 hours and 10 minutes via plane and layovers. (he was only there an hour later than his original schedule would have been.)

Time it would take to drive from our home to Knoxville:

15 hours

So you see - when you are travelling somewhere that has you connecting all over to get to - for me - driving isn't so bad. If there would have been 5 of us going to Knoxville at $350 each for a flight - driving is way cheaper plus no car rental when you get there.

Can you tell I am trying to sell the need for a new conversion van! (new to us anyway!)

I live right behind the airport so I just waved that direction for you since he is there now!

If I had known he was going to be coming through and I was actually going to be home (thanks to leaving work early due to snow) I would have been willing to go over there as backup until Shann got there. The wrecks are horrendous today, took me 45 min to get home when it normally takes 25. I hope the rest of his trip goes well and he doesn't think Knoxvillians are too crazy with the small amount of snow and everyone freaking out.

If you're curious, there's pics on wbir.com of the roads and such. Doesn't look like a lot but people here aren't used to it and we don't have snow plows and that kind of thing.

I love this TR. Every story about your family has touched my heart and made me tear up (and perhaps full out cry a few times! lol). I hope I have the great relationship with my child one day that you have with yours. Keep the funny coming :)

But you have over 13,000 posts.....:confused3

I've been posting on the random thread over on the community board for almost 2 years now...we are a very chatty bunch :rolleyes1 I also may have won the most talkative award in high school :hyper2:

Dawn, I'm glad to hear Treyner's plane landed safely!

Oh! You are close! Maybe we can say hi the next time I am in knoxville - in Feb probably!

That is so sweet of you and look at your posts of 3! I feel seriously beyond blessed you share your thoughts here! He called and was laughing with Shannon in the car. He said people were driving with their hazzards on! He said he has never seen anything like it. That when his Dad and he drove to the airport this morning their was more on the roads and people were fine. I think it will take a bit to get used to a different thought process. here if it is under 6 inches - school is on and we are heading to the mall! There (like Shannon said) people are stocking up like it's the Last Supper!:rotfl2:

Thanks and I will look at it!

You will if you want it and I will get to the next installment tom!:)

Hi Shocker! Do you know when I see your name I start singing..

Shaka Kahn....Shaka Kahn... Shocker Kahn...Shocker Kahn!

I know it is not the right spelling or pronunciation but that is your song. My love line dedication to you! :flower3:

Do you have Delilah there on the radio at night on soft love, mushy moosho, kissy bissy station? She is a national chick but not sure where all she is played at. :confused3

This looks like a van that Baylor and Treyner played with in the Matchbox version!

I would not complain!

I would give my right breastessss to see Dan driving a big ole weiner! Now if you could just super impose his head in the drivers window - photo shop it - I would send it out for next years Holiday Card! Heck how bout for Ground Hogs Day!:worship:

Baylor said you are giving him ideas on what to do with our Van if he keeps it! I may actually owe you one! I would rather buy tires and jack up the van then buy him a different vehicle! If we do I am driving that sucker to the Grand Floridian just to see them Valet Park it!:cool2: :rotfl2::lmao:
