My ds has a very small*(6 other children)class. He will miss about a week and I was thinking we could bring something back for the classmates. Any ideas?

Are you planning on buying a souvenir per classmate? If so, there are alot of options depending on how much money you want to spend.

We brought back several boxes of the MM cookies for DD to share with her classmates -- before I get flamed -- our school does not have a no food brought in policy. She has 24 in her pre-K class so buying everyone something plus 2 teachers is out of the question. If you could bring food -- the Mickey rice krispie treats are YUMMY!!! We brought several of those back too to give to co-workers but we ended up eating them ourselves :rotfl:

When my DD was in 1st grade and Kindergarden we would bring back, pencils and cookies and we brought back a small stuffed Mickey Mouse for the class room. Her class was large so we opened the packages and gave out the cookies and pencils[each kid got 2 pencils and 3 cookies each}, since the class is small you can by each of them there own box of cookies or /and pencils. Checkout World of Disney at Downtown you will be able to find some small cheap items.

When we were there last summer, we got a lot of free Mickey stickers. When we were in DTD we asked for a few extra for DD's class. We got a huge stack of them. Ask and you may receive!

When my DD was in preschool, one of the other children went to Disneyland and brought back key rings for the class. Three years later, that key ring is still on my DD's backpack!

I was just wondering about this too! My son will miss a week of school two weeks before he graduates from preschool. There are 16 kids in his class and I think I might bring something back for all the kids too. I want to get out as cheap as possible - simply b/c I'm already spending sooo much on the trip and we don't even have to bring anything back. One little girl in the class is allergic to just about everything and cookies probably wouldn't be a good idea since she couldn't enjoy them. Anybody know how much the pencils or keychains are? The stickers are a great idea too!! Thanks!!

DS is now 3.5 and each time we have gone to WDW (HIs class is also small 8-10 kids) we try to find something small for the kids and something for the teacher. WE have done the small boxes of cookies ($2.00 - $2.50 a piece, can't really remember the price) I tend to stay away from chocolate as gifts because a) I don't want DS to have a ton of chocolate, so I wouldn't give it to others kids and b) sometimes chocolate has the peanut warning on it (may have been manufactured where nuts are processed) and I don't know who may have a peanut allergy or not.

We have done stickers. The free stickers that are given out before parades and when you make a purchase were great because I usually put them away for future "rewards" for my DS and his class wound having a "Disney Theme Week" at daycare. I sent a bunch of those into his teacher for her to give out the kids.

I don't how you feel about giving other peoples children candy, etc but one other time we found a strip of lolipops with the characters on them at candy place at DTD- West side (Candy Cauldron?) They were very inexpensive also.

I have determined that it doesn't much matter to the kids as long as it has a picture of Mickey on it:)

Just thought of another thing -- I can't remember exactly where we got them -- but in December, our kids got quite a few sheets of Disney tattoes (I remember specifically Cars). If you only have 6, it may not be hard to get 6 of these.

You can pick up postcards, with such a small class, your DS could specifically pick one he thinks his friends would like.

Hi!
If you're getting souvenirs for the children, might I say not to forget the teacher.

We always bring DD12's & DS9's teachers back a WDW tote bag or something similar. :)

(I'm a teacher & LOVE WDW souvenirs :goodvibes )

i brought back those mickey "crazy straws" that they had by the registers in the food court of POFQ--and most resort food courts. they were a big hit. i can't remember but i think they were around a buck each. i also bought beach balls for $3 with nemo in them--my son loves his and they were a pretty nice little souvenir for the money--and very easy to pack.
i found some disney tatoos in the dollar store a couple weeks ago--they had rite aid and cvs price tags on them.
they also have those little bags of pretzels which are a little less offensive to some than cookies.

I second the post card suggestion. You could even get them the first day and mail them from Orlando to each child in care of the school. Cheap, easy, and personal!

ETA - You could also try to round up a few bars of the Mickey soap from the room for their classroom.

When DD7 was in preschool we went to Once Upon A Toy in Downtown Disney and filled up a box of Disney Mr. Potato Head pieces as a class gift. (They already had the heads.)

Thanks for all the great ideas. I love the idea about a postcard for each- I was going to send just one to the class- but one for each sounds cuter! I will be on the hunt for cookies, lollipops anything little I guess I can find. Thanks for the tip about the stickers- I forgot all about those-

I teach nursery school and always bring my kids back a goodie bag. I collect the smallest size bags that Disney has and if I don't have enough, I ask for more (i've never been turned down). I fill each one with a MK map (I think the kids like the map the best!), a character crayon or two (you get 24 for $12), a mickey straw (available at food court registers), stickers that are handed out for free (always mention you're a teacher!) and a few other little tokens (chocolate coins, lollipops, Disney pencils from the Dollar Tree...etc!) The kids really love this!

I went to a party last yr and the family had just gotten home from Disney.. The boys got the little Aladdin swords with candy in them and the girls got a little mini wand with candy in it. Super cute!

We were able to do this too. The CM had my 5 year old take a roll of MM stickers and keep walking until she thought she had enough! I also picked up Nemo stickers, Princess stickers, pencils, and postcards for all of her classmates. I made up little goody bags to pass out, as this was also her birthday celebration. (We don't do food or cupcakes in our nut-free school.)

A great idea for that age group is to buy a package of the shaped crayons. I think they are $12 for the package of 20-25 crayons in the shape of Mickey & Friends or Pooh & Friends and then give each child 3-4 crayons each.

When my son was in preschool and we went to WDW we stopped at the Character Warehouse and got little plastic character bags with stickers and crayons and mickey shaped paper for $2 each. they were normally $8.99 in the parks. The kids loved them.

We also got each teacher and helper a mug and hat for $3 each.

I remember when I was small, my mom let me buy a pack of charcater pens - about 5 or 6 to each pack, to bring home to friends. I think I also got a pack of pencils too.
