Souvenir Prices at Aulani

Just a note, I was at Aulani this past week and found the prices for Merchandise to be higher than DL and WDW. Next visit, I will plan according. I did realize right away that the kids tshirts, the most basic designs and quality, START at $25 but didn't fully appreciate the costs until I just put a mug from my case to the dishwasher and saw that I paid $25. No frills, coffee mug- not a tumbler or anything. They do have a wonderful promo right now though- If you spend $40 you can buy a smart, rolling duffle bag with a low profile, in dusty blue and grey with the Aulani logo embroidered on the side for $30.

Don't disagree that things are higher at Aulani. But in less you go to the places that sell cheap stuff - as a general rule - things are much higher in Hawaii. In the past, I have seen kids tshirts from $20 to $25 at a number of places. That's more than I care to pay.

I agree, even the pineapples they grow there cost more ! : )One does spend less than at the parks because their are no tickets and well merchandise isn't in your face around every corner. But if you want Aulani specific things and you're making a budget, you'd want to add a few extra bucks for souvenirs.
