A Dooney & Bourke bag (if there's a pattern that I like) and a hoodie.
Cool.
A Dooney & Bourke bag (if there's a pattern that I like) and a hoodie.
Mine are:
- The larger year dated coffee mug (the ones that hold 2 cups) that is specifically walt disney world and not the disney parks one. (harder to find but does exist)
- I try to find a shift that isn't too disney and in my size. Generally I'm unsuccessful.
My Daughter:
- Fancy Popcorn Container.
- some type of shirt
- a dated pin and a hard to find pin(s) if they are in stock (thanks shop disney app).
Mugs (the caps and tee's as well) are a killer for me. I have to be careful. I try to stick with the RESORT and PARK year dated mugs only. If I stick to that plan I'm good. Otherwise I will buy the EPCOT mug, the Space Mountain mug, the 7DMT mug, the Grand Floridian mug (my planned Afternoon Tea visit) or tee's and whatever. It's okay if I get something like a 7DMT MAGNET or an EPCOT magnet or keychain, etc. But with regard to the more expensive items I tell myself it's RESORT and PARK and nothing more. So hopefully I will stick to my list and let it be! lol.
At minimum 3 new ornaments with one being dated of visit (we have one tree dedicated to Disney)
New set of "special" ears..I have the ears random all over the house on display similar to hidden mickeys and a tiny pic of us in the ears next to it (this year Christmas!)
New tshirts or sweatshirts or whatever catches our eyes (I hope holiday theme this year)
Always something random for the kitchen store, lego store
Picture frame
Magnet from the resort we stayed (this year will be beach club)
Several boxes of candy we give as gifts and share at our parties
This is my first trip back to WDW in almost 7 years. I imagine there will be ALOT of shopping.
This isn't going to help but I consider every time to get both sizes just to be able to put away the smaller one for that day I break the larger one. I've never done it but I lost a couple with a dishwasher malfunction once and in this case you can't replace them.
I am a sucker for vintage style t-shirts, especially ones that look a bit unique and not mass-produced. Yes I know they're all mass produced at Disney, but if it isn't over-the-top Disney and has a little character (no pun intended), I'll want it.
a dated pin
ears for me
a dated large photo album..(anyone have a 2010 large one to sell..lol)
an antenna topper
a piece of costume jewelry, i have mickey earrings, chip and dale earrings, charm bracelet..(alhtough they stopped selling the charms)
pearl in japan
im due for a new keychain..i usually go with 4 parks one
i got a hoodie . dated last time and the zipper died..so i might get another..i use them in the morning or during winter to chase away the chill
photopass definitely...(memory magic i think now)
an ornament...but i make really cool ones from pics so depends...
alot of the stuff i buy at disney store online..like the small stuffies..or pjs or cookie jars..(too fragile) and ornaments...the official park ones i often get online.
with the 3 kids...we often try to avoid the stores unles it is our down town disney day.
hubby seems to choose a tee every year...but doesnt say park or year..just a cool disney one.
A Christmas ornament and some little jewelry item are at the top of my list every trip. As you can see by my avatar, I am not exactly restricted to those things. LOL. I still think of Sven as the real star of "Frozen"....and when I saw this guy in the gift shop of the Norway pavilion last year, he was mine in a hurry.
I have an amazing collection of beautiful mugs, the line which were all about the same size, each from a Disney movie. Would love to add a few new ones but haven't seen the same style for the newer movies. I have big WDW and DL mugs, as well as some holiday ones. Don't need anymore but I like to think of them as functional art! Yes, I serve drinks in them, too, soccer mom.
This year I am thinking about finally getting myself a set of Mickey head flatware. I fear the time of frequent visits to WDW is coming to a close for us, and setting my table with these would bring happy memories every day. Still looking for just the right salt and pepper set.
As we tend to travel in Nov, we usually smuggle home some Disney stocking stuffers and treats. Mickey mints, coconut patties, etc. Last year the big hit was those Frozen-themed rice Krispy treats. I wonder what it will be this year? What a happy, happy thought.
On the last couple of trips I have also collected several of the Vera Bradley bags. The backpack I now use for my park bag, the large tote bag I carry to work and the cosmetic bag is my toolkit to take to art classes on weekends. I also have several pairs of earrings that are kind of Hidden Mickey's that I love to wear.
These days is seems I buy fewer things, but they are more expensive! But that first trip back after 10 years, I wanted everything!!
