Southwest/Unable to Printing Boarding Pass

I learned something important tonight. I waited till midnight to print boarding passes for me and my 12 year old Son. The Southwest site would not let me print the passes! I called them and they told me the computer randomly refuses some confirmation numbers. I tried to explain how important it was for me and my Son to sit together.. (He is a nervous flier). They did assign him a new confirmation number so I was able to print an "A" pass for him... but I will have to take my chances when I get to the airport later today to see if they will let me board with him. I doubt he will board by himself and "save" me a seat. I feel as though I am being penalized by their system not allowing me to print a boarding pass for me. With so many people printing the passes from home... I think that I am guaranteed a late boarding pass at the airport tomorrow. The agent from SW checked the flight and it is full.

Will I have the same trouble coming home?

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thank You.. Tom

If you get to the airport early you may be able to get an A pass. They don't give them all out online.

Even though most of us here seem to print boarding passes it doesn't seem the norm for the other passengers I've seen. Most of my flights it has just been us with the printed passes and the last time we flew I bet there was less than 10 with printed passes. Like safetymom says, just get to the airport early and you should be fine. Good luck!
