I find this weird & a lil annoying but I thought Id ask if anyone knows why, When Im looking at tickets prices, if I put it one for 1,2,3, or 4 people if gives a certain price, when I put it in for 5 people (which is actually what I need) the price goes up about 20 a person for the same exact flight, times etc... Why is this?...I mean it would make more sense to book each one seperate, which is a pain in the butt I just dont see why they would charge more for this.. thanks

The same thing happened to us. It is so frustrating. We booked one ticket and when we tried to do the second one separately the higher fare still popped up. We finally called SW and spoke with an agent who helped us. The entire process doesn't make sense. After we booked the initial ticket, we were told they lower fare was no longer available.

Only so many tickets are available at each price point. What you can do is book 4 people (since that is what the system is allowing at the lower price) under one confirmation number and then single under a different price.

I usually book everyone separately. That way, if there is fare drop, I can take advantage, since there may not be enough lower fares to cover my traveling party.
