Is anyone else looking for flights for march? I can't believe the prices $300 one way. :scared1:Do you think they will come down a bit closer to Christmas? Last time I went at march I think they were $150 one way. What do you think? Should I give up?:scared:

Have you compared prices for other airlines? If they are all that high, chances are they will not go down.

Personally I think SW's "free bags" is misleading. They are increasing fares instead.

I assume you are looking at flying from Buffalo to Orlando in March. I just looked at the Southwest web site and I see some one way fares for $94. Some days I see one way fares for $149. I don't see anything for $300 one way. There are a couple of days where it is $283 one way...maybe with taxes it would be $300.

Can you fly on different days?

Not sure if you can try Airtran, but we were able to get a flight from Chicago to Orlando in March for $1013 for 4 tickets. SW and all the other airlines were much higher. Remember March and April is Spring Break so demand is up. It's a gamble, but maybe airlines will have spring sales?

We are flying from Columbus on March 11 and back on the 18. We paid $80 down and $89 back when I booked. They are way up now. Glad I bought when I did.

We are flying down March 27th on Sunday and SWA wanted $280. On Saturday the 26th the price range is $280-$330. We changed airports from Milwaukee to O'Hare and we are using DELTA and going to Savannah for a few days and we got tickets for $125. We were going to fly into MCO and drive up to Savannah, but for that price, we are saving money. AirTran is up in the high $200-$300 range too.

We are coming home with SouthWest on April 2nd, and I am waiting for maybe a price break and come home the following day, but prices are in the high 200's and low 300's. One Way.

I paid $176 for myself. When I plugged in 3 people, the price jumped to $222 a piece. I'm hoping they drop, I watch everyday. At least Southwest will let you cancel and rebook without a fee.

Mid-October I began looking for SW flights to MCO for March. It was going to cost the 2 of us $1020 from Tulsa. I could have saved about $300 if I wanted to fly out of St. Louis, but that would have involved renting a car, budgeting for gas, and a variety of other issues.

I checked the dates for May, because that's when DH is out of school, and got our tix for $700 and considered that a good deal.
