Southwest Opening More Dates

Just got this from Southwest and thought you would like to know.

"We are now accepting reservations for travel through JANUARY 11, 2008. On August 23, we plan to open the schedule for purchase through March 7, 2008.".

Hi,THANKS for the info!! Any "IDEA" of what time SWA will allow us to start booking on the 23rd?? We are flying out of PVD for February break (yes,that is Pres. Day Week in RI). I am not too concerned about the flight down,we fly out a few days before Pres.Day weekend,but I do need to book that flight HOME quickly! Thanks, Joan

Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea when I can expect flight to open for the end of April, beginning of May?

SW openings are happening about every 2 months. I would expect flights to open up after March 7 around the middle of October.

Joan, good luck. I've been waiting for some deals for PVD to MCO in November. Nothing happening. For some reason, the flights back to PVD are very high. That seems to be the biggest problem. I'm thinking about flying into TPA, and flying back to PVD from MCO on Delta. It's only $104 pp for a one way ticket home on Delta. The downside is that it's not a direct flight, and we would have a 3 hour layover in ATL. DW doesn't seem to upset. She said that we'll be able to have a meal without rushing.
