I was looking for tickets for our school vacation week to take a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. We had quite a few RR points to use. I was able to book 5 RT tickets from PVD-FLL Saturday 2/15 - Saturday 2/22 both nonstop and good times for us. We used 62,040 points and spent $287.80 out of pocket. I was very happy with this. With two kids in high school I was really hoping they wouldn't have to miss any school days. So, how did you do? :)

I booked 4 tickets ISP to ft lauderdale 2/26 to 3/2.....heading down for my sons wedding in key largo ......prices were higher than the beginning of February 145 vs 112 for non stop flights ..... booked 2 tickets on points and paid cash for 2

I booked two directs for my in-laws at 6:30 AM this morning from LI to ORL. Got exactly what we wanted and paid exactly what we thought we would. Tried to log on at 6:00 AM, but it wasn't open yet. Seems a little fishy that so many flights were already gone, and I mean GONE, BOOKED, FULL, by 6:30 AM.

Those flights were never able to be booked. Such a scam! I was online when they were released and all the non stop flights for our dates were sold out.

Can't say I'm thrilled. I always book one-ways for each segment of the trip, just seems like it makes changes easier. I was on right at 5 a.m. and by the time I booked the first leg, the second leg had jumped considerably in points/price. Grrr. So now I haven't booked the second leg yet. Just not sure what to do. I don't really want to end up with a credit.

Booked Hartford to MCO on Feb 14 and got what we wanted at $310 pp. only issue is the early morning nonstop changed from 6:50am departure to 6am with today's new flight release dates. Wonder why...

Go back and recheck the flights you wanted. I have read that sometimes flights 'disappear' and load/reload several times while they are getting everything input into the system.

I think this is what happened to me. There was a big price jump not 10 minutes after the booking opened. I was so upset I've been stalking it and the prices just went way back down. Woohoo! I was able to purchase 5 of our 8 flights with RR points, and the other 3 were pretty reasonable...$40 less than then next lowest airfare that I could find on any major carrier.

So glad that's done, lol!

SW was much higher for us then Jetblue. We're flying Jetblue and happy we got the price we did!

We also booked BDL-MCO THRILLED with the pricing, compared to what Jetblue is asking for the same dates these prices were great. Took the 5pm direct leaving the 14th getting in at 8pm and coming back on Monday Feb 24 the 2:30 gets in at 5:05 also direct. Kids can miss the one day of school Monday, it was over $100 per ticket less to come back Monday. Those round trip direct flights were $230/pp including all the taxes/fees. And considering theres no baggage fees. I am really happy! Plus I had SW points and a voucher from when we last flew and volunteered to be bumped so I paid less than $80 out of pocket. :woohoo:

Can't believe we can actually afford to travel during Feb vacation!

Does anyone know what the opening fares going from MCO to BUffalo?
I didnt get on my computer until 7:00am. I paid 164 one way coming home on Saturday evening, direct.
That was the cheapest listed all that week.

Snagged a non stop return flight from MCO to BDL (CT) on Monday February 24th at 2:30pm for $105 this morning. I had booked Jet Blue last week for the trip down on Feb 20th for $110. I was able to log in about 6:15am (EST) this morning.

I am happy.. Am going down to do the Glass Slipper challenge.

Thanks lionqueen! I was kind of disappointed in the fares. I had to purchase a separate ticket for my college age son, returning on the Tuesday after President's day and also paid 164. Usually the Tues and Wed of that week are much lower.
