Doesn't Southwest usually have Florida on sale in Jan or Feb? Did I miss it this year? Any thoughts on if it will happen and when?
Thanks!

Their Florida sale was on Dec 14. I snagged flights for $85 going down and $65 coming back.

Southwest prices are pretty good right now. $95 PIT to MCO.

The price shows as $106 because they now have to list it with the fees included.

There is a place you can click to see the price breakdown, so you can see it before the fees.

For some reason fares from PHX-MCO are absurdly high. Lowest is $430/RT for flights now through Sept. I never see Ding fares for this route as I had a few years ago and a sale is rare.

Thanks.

I am sad I missed it but at least I know to go ahead and book if I see a fare that looks ok. Right now the best I see is !33 - which in not too bad - just not the sale price!

SW flights are NOT good right now from Louisville to MCO. They were about $167 ONE WAY for first week of June when we're going, and now the flight down is $161 but flight back is $182. Weird thing is, every day of the week is same price, when usually Sat and Sun are more. It's been at these rates for weeks now, no Dings or sales since I can't remember when. Guess we'll have to bite the bullet, esp with the talk of fuel costs going up. :sad2:

When is this for? Its definetly not for when we are are going. SWA is $169 one way for our dates. Ridiculous!

Don't feel bad. I just booked at $231 one-way! At least the other way (going out to Orlando) had dropped to $151 so I pulled the trigger. Now I need to wait for the return fare to go down and re-book at the lower price. Even $151 is high compared to $99 or $109 each way that we've always paid.

There is a sale right now on fares to Florida with travel completed by June 6th. That's why our return flight was so much higher (it's after June 6th).

But you're twice as far as us. I could justify the price alot better if I was coming from the West Coast or pretty close to it as you are.
Gees we are in PA. Problem is we have little to no competition at our airport anymore so if the airlines raise the prices, people have no choice but to pay.

I got a SW credit card a month or so ago and I hope the points kick in so I can use them to buy our tickets. If not, we'll be driving. We are stuck on dates because we are going on DCL. It stinks when in November , DH and I paid $150 round trip.
