Check your Southwest flights. My flight in April went down. Easy to change on their site. It went down 1,681 points. The points are re deposited in your account. Now have enough for another flight in the fall. :cool1:

Oh, my God... I thought a flight had crashed. It's the end of a 3 day weekend for us-- all I could think was that one of my students-- or one of my husband's-- might have been on the flight.

Mods, any way you can add the word "fares" into the title????

I also thought this was a thread about a plane crash! Yikes! So glad to see it is actually a much happier topic!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought a plane crashed...

I thought the same as everyone else. OP-You need to edit your title.

First off the rule, secondly :scared1:I thought they had a plane go down! I was so upset because I have some family traveling with southwest today!

I hope the OP comes back and changes the title. I saw just the title and went to MSNBC.com looking for info on what happened before I opened the thread.

Funny since its in the budget board I thought price right away not a plane crash.

Me too. I had to go back to look at the title to see why it needed to be changed. I instantly thought price.
But for the sake of others, OP might want to change it.

If there was a plane crash why would someone post it on the Budget Board? I think you all are overreacting a little bit. My immediate thought was a fare reduction.

Thanks for the tip, OP. I have a flight booked for the end of February. I'm off to check it out.

I don't know about everyone else but most of the time I open threads from the new posts section... not from an individual board. So When I see a title most of the time I don't see the board right away.

Same here.

And I probably did overreact... my apologies. To be honest, ever since losing a student on TWA flight 800, I'm a little jumpy about plane crashes.

I'm so sorry about your student. I understand being jumpy after that.

I just meant, the OP came on here to share something helpful, and almost every post was about her title, not what she shared about the fares. Kinda seemed like ganging up on her, even though nobody was being mean.

Well I checked fares afterwards if that counts. ;) My flights did not go down.
