Southwest flight FARES went down

Well I checked fares afterwards if that counts. My flights did not go down.

I saw the title and this as the most recent post and thought that OP was saying a scare of a crashed plane would make prices drop!
I am going to check flight prices now knowing nothing tragic is tied to my good deal

I saw the thread title and my first reaction was to try and remember if my husband was on a plane this morning. Then my heart started beating again because I remembered he is not traveling this week, and I opened it and saw it was a point reduction.

If there was a plane crash why would someone post it on the Budget Board? I think you all are overreacting a little bit. My immediate thought was a fare reduction.

Thanks for the tip, OP. I have a flight booked for the end of February. I'm off to check it out.

Because the Budget Board is usually about 25% off topic posts.

My first thought, like many others, was that a Southwest plane crashed. I'm glad to see that isn't the case! It does make sense since this is the budget board that the OP is talking about plane fares, but I read threads on a lot of different boards on the DIS, so I am not always award of what board I am on.

Same here....when I saw this this morning the thought of a plane crash never crossed my mind. But I did check the prices of my upcoming SW flight.

No hard feelings. Good deal on the lower fare. I frequently check SW fares after I book. Have gotten hundereds of points back.

Thanks for updating the title. I just read the title this time and thought "now why did I comment on a thread where Southwest fares went down?". I have such a short term memory that it scares me sometimes

I know, I'm shocked at most of the people that assumed a plane crashed. Seriously, the topic of Southwest and points and fares going up and down is pretty much a weekly topic on this board.
