It's also on Southwest's website under Our Blog. ;) I just wish I knew for sure that it would be February 8th so that I wouldn't have to check every day a thousand times just to make sure. :sad2:

We are also waiting and using the time to learn how to use Ding and booking with SW, credits, etc.

We are open anything from May 25 to June 13 return. I don't want to be in the parks on Memorial day. We also own at OKW and stay Fri/Sat at a value to save points so we are trying to arrive so it all works out.

I am tracking my SLC MCO Dings and think I can do this! Waiting with the rest of you.

I can hardly wait! I am planning a vacation to Orlando in August, and Southwest hasn't opened their schedule passed May 9th!!

:rotfl2:

Have you ever flown Airtran out of Canton/Akron? They have round trip tickets around $180 pp right now. Also did you know that SWA has opened a new non-stop service to MCO from Cleveland? It just started with their April schedule. Not sure where you are located in Ohio but hope some of this helps!

I'm waiting too... rebooked for May 31 to June 6th how late do these dates usually come out?

mom22boys - thanks for the airtran tip. DH will decide if he wants me to purchase Airtran or wait until SW comes out. I gave him the decision to make because I can't decide what to do!

We are from the Findlay area. Detroit - 2 hours away. Columbus - 2hours away, Dayton - 1 1/2 hours away, Cincinnat - 3 hours away, Cleveland - apx. 2 hours away. Many options....Detroit to MCO I can get through Airtran for $970 for the total of 5 of us. Hopefully DH will make a decision today, so I know what to do about Airtran.

Still waiting here! I've traveled in May before and this time it seems I've been waiting longer than usual. :confused3

How long will I have to wait for SW to open their schedule plan to August?

I have been waiting on Southwest FOREVER now too. The cheapest I can find on Airtran is 257 round trip, will their prices go down, or should we just bite the bullet and buy now (DAY to MCO)

Does anyone know how quickly the first flight will sell out on Monday- 6/18?

I've never booked during June, so don't know if I should book right away, or wait to see if the lower the prices:confused3

edit to add- I am flying out of Providence if that makes a difference

In my very limited experience, Airtran drops their prices pretty frequently. You just need to check pretty often. They seem to randomly run Web Special fares. In three flights from CAK to MCO I have never paid over $79 one way.

Good luck!

The DING fares are so cheap that they will sell out very fast. If you know you will defintely be flying, I'd book ASAP if the fare goes down you can call SW and they will give you a credit for the difference..not sure if it's credit towards a future flight or credit back to your card. Last year, I didn't even know about the DING until after I booked AirTran. I kept going back and forth about flying, because I haven't flown in a long time and well...I have MAJOR anxiey about. On AirTran I could've had the flight down (nonstop) for $49 or $59 and flight back for $59. By the end of the day it was gone and I ended up paying $89 each way. It still wasn't bad though. This year, I know better. SW will give credit..AirTran (i'm pretty sure) does not.

forgot to add that we usually go June 24th-july 4th. but anytime during the summer will be busy.

Been waiting patiently since last March to book a girl scout troop to Disney World. Waiting to see what SW has to offer for June 1-10th out of Indy and then will compare with other airlines at the dayton airport. It's an hour either way for us. Just hate that I can't finish all my planning for this trip.:cool1:

We're not going until September but I'm already looking for air fare. AirTran posted their September flights within the last few days. Don't know if I should jump on the AirTran deals ($199 non-stop roundtrip from Baltimore) or if I should wait to see what Southwest offers up. If I wait the $199 fares could be bought out. The best I could do, on Southwest, to Orlando is $177 (based on April flights). Do you think fares will come down at all? We only paid $129 on AirTran last time.
