Southwest Ding Fare Question....switching flights...

If I've already booked my flight and a Ding fare comes out, can I switch to the Ding fare?

In the past, I know you can switch if the price of the flight actually drops, but this past weekend, their was a Ding for Philly and my husband already had his flight but I could not figure out how to switch to the lower price flight.

Would you have to cancel, get a credit and then rebook with the credit? Any fees associated with cancelling? I've not done that before.

Yes, you would need to cancel your current flight and purchase the Ding fare with your SW credit. Just make sure there are seats available on the flight that you want at the Ding rate!
