Southwest credit?

Has anyone ever been able to get a credit switched...I bought a ticket for my daughters friend to come with us to Florida. She is now not able to come with us. Is it ever possible to get the credit for use by another name since I bought the ticket or am I out of luck?

Call southwest. I believe after 1 year of ticket purchase you can convert that credit to a LUV Voucher for $50.00. This was the case 2 years ago. If you find anything out please give us feedback.

After one year from the purchase date the expiration date can be extended for $75 but when you bought the ticket the fine print does say it is non transferable so I am afraid you would not be able to switch the name on the ticket.
