I received a credit for a flight that was booked on May 19, 2014 (the fare went down). When I go to use this credit, does my flight have to be BOOKED before May 19th or do I have to FLY before May 19th? In other words, can I book in March for a flight in June and use this credit?

Second part of the question: If I need to cancel or change this flight, will my credit still carry over since its part of a new reservation or will I lose it?

Thanks all!

YOu have to complete your travel by May 19, 2015 so your return flight must be before May 19,2015.

Unless you book your trip as two one way tickets then use the credit on your outbound flight but you must start your vacation before May 19.

If you cancel you will loose the credit and any additional money you applied toward the ticket.

I would HIGHLY advise booking your trip as 2 one way tickets here is why. If you use the credit to book the flight and you have to cancel your new tickets takes on the old expiration date of May 19, 2015. for example If the flight is $100 and you have a $20 credit applied to the ticket the remain $80 in cash you had to pay will also expire on May 19,2015

So if you think you might have to cancel it would be wise to apply the credit to just was portion of your trip. That way if you can not rebook your trip before May 19.2015 you will only loose the money you applies to the outbound flight.
