I'm mathematically challenged. What kind of carry on suitcase can I bring on the plane? Every airline has it's own measurements but when I'm shopping for luggage I need to know what to look for. UGH. This is such a pain for me! We are only doing Disney for 3 days so I don't want to check a bag. My hubby will have a carry on and I will have a carry on.

Technically, one that fits in the 'frame' available for measure at most airports. But, of course, that doesn’t help until you get TO the airport, when it may be too late.
Stand the suitcase upright.
Measure it from the floor to the top of the handle (not the extended handle for wheeling, if it has one, but the ‘regular’ handle for carrying).
Then measure from left to right, again including any handle/s.
Then measure from front to back (or lay it down and measure from floor up again) including any pockets.
Add the three numbers together.
Check your airline’s website, but generally the three numbers can’t total any more than 42 inches.

Oh, and you each get one carry-on and one 'personal item' such as a handbag, briefcase, computer case, etc. That item has to fit completely underthe seat in front of you.

If you're not checking a bag, remember that you will not be able to take through TSA security any liquids or gels other than what will fit in the appropriate containers within your 1-quart plastic bag. That might not be a problem for you -- but it would certainly be a challenge for me! Shampoo, hairspray, deodorant, makeup, contact lens solution, toothpaste, and more. Of course, it might be possible for you to steal some space in your hubby's 1-quart bag.

Another option -- if you need more than what will fit in the 1-quart space -- would be to purchase some of those things after you go through security or after you arrive at your destination.

But you're probably a better packer than I am and won't have a problem!

In most cases just buy what is sold as a 21 inch bag and you won't have any problems:confused3 :cool1:
