Southwest and Air Tran Open Until August 9, 2013

Just booked our flights for our trip next summer!

I just booked too. I noticed AT was open last night. We got a much better deal with AT then SW, even counting 5 bags and early check in.

I booked RT. can I add the early/automatic check in just on the return portion? If so, how do I do it?

Made reservations this morning, but can't believe how crappy the flight schedules are on SW from Indy to Orlando.

Two flights down (1 non-stop) and 3 return (1 non - stop) in June.....really wish they would complete the airtran merger so perhaps we can have more options on SW.

changed my flights from May to June and from PVD to MHT. Had to pay an extra $230 for the four tickets, but I'd rather not deal with Memorial Day and the extra drive to RI. Flying for $99 each way.

Crappy flights from Pittsburgh, too. Only 2 non stops both ways either really early in the morning or in the evening. I have to go with SW b/c I have a lot of rr points. Now I'm debating whether to go in June or Aug. I actually wish these flights hadn't come out so early b/c I'm not sure about our summer schedule. I guess I can always change the flights, though.

I was very disappointed with the flights from LAX-MCO. Would have been over 500 dollars! Went with American instead. Even with having to pay for baggage we get nice nonstop flights for 360.

Usually when SW releases their fares there are a lot of posts on here with people buying fares. So funny no one is posting today. I guess SW doesn't have the best deals anymore.

Booked last night with air tran. Virtually same price as southwest but we will have to pay baggage fees. That is worth it though to get seats together since hubby and I have 8 kids to manage and it will be the first plane ride for 5 of them!

Southwest a lot more expensive than I'm used to paying. AirTran had ok fares for some flights, but I noticed what I would consider the prime were quite a bit more expensive. Not sure what we'll do yet.

I fly the legacy carries a lot for business, so I tend to fly them for pleasure too. However, WN and FL are the only non-stops to Orlando and we need a non-stop since it is the extended family going. Any thoughts when the sale fares will come out?

I could only purchase the first leg of our trip... August 4, but it was at $128 pp plus $6 seats and I thought that was pretty good! Waiting for January to book the other half!

We booked our family on AirTran in June. HOU to MCO. Now I just need to invent a time machine to get there tomorrow.

I was up at 6 to book my flight for the trip down in August and was very happy to see that the fares were lower than my ones for April I was only able to book the flight down since my flight home won't be released until February 4th

I got my July flights yesterday on SW and they were the cheapest flights we ever got!!

Less than $850 for 4 of us. Although we are used to paying ridiculously high fares for spring break. Even August fares have always been more.
I am happy!!

I was actually glad to see these flights. We prefer leaving PIT in the early AM and heading back home late PM. Want to spend every available second at WDW! We aren't going until 8/15, but I'm hoping the schedule stays the same or similar.

I wouldn't mind the flight times from Pitts. if I lived closer. We have to drive 1 1/2 hrs. to get there/ go home. I don't want to stay in a hotel there b/c I would rather spend the money on a Disney hotel. We tried it one time and stayed at the Hampton airport hotel after a late flight and it was just depressing to stay there after WDW and seemed like it took us so long to get home. We will probably take the late flight this summer but just drive home.

I noticed AirTran flights were down a little this morning ($144 to $110) for June so I booked. They aren't the best flight times, but they work for us. Hope others are able to get what they need as well!

So glad I booked last week...just looked and fares have doubled for our flight down and gone up 50% got our flight home.
