I am sure this question has been asked and answered numerous times:rolleyes1... But:)... What is the current policy with Southwest and Disney baggage? This is our first time to Orlando Airport and Disney World. We are arriving at MCO on 5/1/10 at 9:15AM flying Southwest from Baltimore,MD. I understand from reading that we ride a shuttle system to the main building and make our way to the Disney Express terminal. My concern is do we need to claim our baggage (on level 2?) or does it automatically go to the Disney Express and arrive in our room ??? We have recieved our yellow tags to put on our luggage handles and pamphlet from Disney Express. Also on our trip home what is the process? What do I need to do to get us and our baggage to the plane home? We are flying Southwest home and our flight leaves 5/8/10 at 8:55PM.

When you arrive at MCO, you don't have to worry about your luggage, it will be sent to your resort. DME does this for any airline. The only exception is for arrivals after 10:00pm.

For the return home, you'll have to check at your resort what the latest status is for SW. They are phasing in resort check-in by resort.

As DebbieB said, for the trip TO MCO, put those wonderful yellow tags on your bags and let DME deliver them approx 3 hours after your hotel checkin or when your room in available. Keep anything you need for immediate use (swim suit etc) or any meds in your carry on in case your luggage is delayed anywhere along the line (good idea for any flight, not just to Disney). Check in at the hotel and start enjoying your vacation.

For the return flight, again, what Deb posted is the best, or let us know what resort you are staying at and can give you a more definite answer
