Southwest 72 Hour Sale

I am so peeved right now:furious:

DH and I are going on the DVC Member Cruise in September and the SW fares were $380 r/t so I booked through Delta for $223 with 1 stop each way (booked on Sunday).

Now, the flights are $180 r/t on SW non-stop. I can only hope Delta makes a big change in flights before the sale is over and I can cancel Delta and rebook on SWA!:rotfl2:

I am sure it won't happen, but a girl can hope.:rolleyes1

Call delta and cancel see if they will let you tell them some son story... It doesn't hurt to try and save the money

Got the AirTran & SW emails today. Actually AirTran was a bit better for us because SW doesn't have many nonstops. $583.00 for all 3 of us round trip Total. I hadn't even planned on going, but with this deal, I'm tempted to book something...anything...help me! I can't control myself! ;)

NOOO book try south west they show the same prices but if its thru southwest you get the free baggage... Our flights are operated by air tran, we will check in at air tran but we get the southwest perks!!

I fly out Saturday September 7 at 3:00 pm via Southwest and depart 3:55 on the 14th. I would love to grab the 7:25 am flight, but it is at $162. I paid $99 for the later flight.

This is the first time we are traveling on the weekend. We usually travel during the week for cheaper fares, but tried to minimize they loss of school days.

I am about 30 miles south Pittsburgh. :)

I live in clairton where are you south of Pittsburgh? We are on the 600 am non stop flight and the non stop home...

No difference for our days:( I booked flying in to Tampa a couple weeks ago for the price. So when I saw this sale I was hoping MCO would be down. Nope, same price for us going and coming home. Actually our coming home price is higher:sad2:

Maybe the Birthday sale will look good for us to come home. I don't get why Nov 11th is so high.
We decided to stay an extra day for the lower price, just hope it gets lower. I was able to get my room but I still need the flight.

Many won't do this because you get random seat assignments so your party can be scattered all over. Then you can try switching at the airport that day, but no guarantees.

This and the other thing was they didn't give the same flight options as I got from AirTran. They had a few of them, but the return was different. I like all of us to be together and, the last two times we went, I could upgrade to Business Class for $29.00 ... which was nice.

Got PHL to MCO for $99 9/28. That's about $40 cheaper than a few days ago. Still waiting on return air for 10/6 - that's still nearly $200. Hopefully Sundays will be included in the birthday sale.

Don't forget about the $20 voucher from coke rewards, it's only 100 points and can be used for everyone on your reservation up to 8 people. With that, I just paid $89 each way pp from Canton, Ohio to Orlando.

We are going Nov. 1st -Nov.11th. we are flying out of Philadelphia. I bought tickets flying in to Tampa this time because it was $124.00. Compare to $225 in to Orlando:confused3.

Coming home we are flying out of Orlando to Philly. We were going to leave on Sunday the 10th but flights were $365 to fly home:scared1: So we booked another night and now flying out on Monday the 11th. Flights right now are $198. Hoping they go down.
Last week they were at $168, but I was so sick I just couldn't deal with it. I hope I didn't miss my window of opportunity for a cheaper flight:(

Thanks OP - got $99 each way out of Philly for my dates of Aug. 31st and Sept. 14th. :yay:

well my flights are cheaper, but not as cheap as what everyone else is finding...$149 each way from phoenix, but not available for my outgoing flight, and I don't want to take days off the vacation....hoping there is another sale, but probably booking this just in case...

I got $99 tickets on our flight from MCO to Chicago on Dec 5th. This is the lowest price yet.

We are flying or of pit on 10/3 and got the 6 am for $99 and return on 10/8. We had to take the 12:51 to get the $99. We are using points and all four of us are flying for free. That flight will be early, but at least for a short trip we will be able to o a park on our arrival day. We are in mt. Lebo. Debating on wether to stay near the airport the night before. We are so close though and because it is so early, I don't think it will buy us much time.

Yay!!! How many points do you have lol

Im trying to decide if we should fly this year! We've always flown, and done south west from Greenville SC nonstop to mco. Now SW doesn't fly to orlando from GSP. So we had decided to drive. Its an 8 hour trip. Now I see this sale. $288 for our family RT flights out of charlotte. So do we drive 2 hours north to fly 1.5 hours south? Confused!!! Hubby says by the time we arrive at airport 90 min early, have flight, then wait on magical express, we could have just driven the 8 hours. Any opinions?

That is pretty close, and an 8 hour drive isn't terrible....I might be inclined to drive because then you would have your own car, don't have to worry about car seats if you rent a car, and can pack whatever you want, like a cooler, pillows, blankets, etc. We live about 6 hours from DL and always drive there. It's really not that bad. The kids watch movies on portable DVD player, play games, color pictures, and of course, listen to DL soundtrack. :thumbsup2

I just booked round trip tix from Charlotte for $98 (x4). I cannot believe my good fortune in finding this rate. I was all set to make the nine hour drive, but I can hardly refuse such a cheap airfare.
