Southern thing or not?

I was going to argue about it, but then I figured that would be considered not saying something nice.

Don't know about north vs south (I'm in the north), but I'm not sure why it matters..:confused3 As a rule, I don't like to run down pedestrians, so if I have to stop, I have to stop.. LOL.. I'm never in that much of a rush to get anywhere - I'm one of those people who always allows plenty of time to do whatever I have to do..:thumbsup2

Let me start by saying I am a Northerner trapped in the South. Something I noticed here that I never did up north was the fact that they stop for every single pedestrian here. It takes me 5 minutes to get from 1 end of the parking lot to the other. Pedestrians just assume that every car is going to stop for them and just walk right out into the street. I'm all for stopping at the crosswalk. Personally I look for the road to be clear and then cross the road in a hurried fashion. People here cross the street so damn slowly. I grew up in a place where you learned to run across the street or you would get run down.

Having a little trouble adjusting, are we? You know, the road runs both ways. :rolleyes1 Jes sayin'...

Everytime i go to Statesville North Carolina to visit my sister, its like all the locals drive like they are in Nascar! I cant believe how fast they drive there!

So, how did your sister end up in Statesville? I'm from the Jersey Shore like you but all my grandparents people (dad's side) were from the Statesville area. So, I'm just curious. :)

If you believe that -why on earth did you start a thread to insult southerners??

I don't think it is an insult. Loving your neighbor (by allowing them to cross the street) is a nice way to follow the 2nd greatest commandment. :woohoo: Living in the south is a great thing and you surely already know that, clarabelle.:cheer2: I don't think it can be insulted---it isjust to wonderful a blessing. ;):goodvibes
