Well, im floating on cloud 9 right now
I"m on Day 4 of Phase I and I've lost 5 lbs, 2 inches off my waist and 1 1/2 inches off my hips. The hardest day for me was Day 2, i felt exhausted, weakened, constant headaches and crazy cravings. I still have the occassional twinge of "need" for a carb, but I'll drink a bottle of water and get busy studying for finals to ease the craving. This diet is very very do-able with wonderful results. Im shooting to lose 14lbs by May 12th (our trip to WDW
) Im sure that I can do this, my determination to lose weight has never been so high. Today I was able to fit easily and comfortably into 2 pairs of shorts that I could barely button up a week ago. I was also able to fit (albeit uncomfortably) into a pair of jeans that are my inspiration. I want to wear those suckers on the plane to Orlando
I was a total South Beach Doubter when I decided to start, now Im a faithful believer and Beacher

I couldn't believe it. I could tell my clothes felt really well but didn't want to weigh until a full 7 days were up. Good luck everyone.

I know how frustrating it is to feel like you're doing well and then not have the scale reflect that. In my second week of phase 1, I only lost 8 oz. A big disappointment. Just keep at it and take note of your measurments. That is a more accurate reflection of your weight loss than the scale anyway.
We celebrated with an awesome steak dinner. We did have champagne, and a few little wafer crackers but otherwise no cheating. I feel really good. I know I can get off the next 5 and then 5 after that. I hope my Mom is encouraged by a big loss at the weeks end.

It wasn't even because I was particularly craving carbs either. I was just so bored of what I was eating that I got to the point where NOTHING on the dang list looked appetizing. Didn't help that I was TOTALLY PMS'ing too.. dang hormones!
