Hi all

I'm leaving tomorrow for WDW. Hoping to stay on program for the most part while I'm away. Welcome Sarah, Hope everything is going well for you.

Bye, Jeremy, have fun. I'm right behind you. I leave Saturday. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Hanging my head in shame as I once again join the group.

I have been soooooo off program due to tremendous stress. I am at the same weight I was at before, which is good news, but I need to get another 10-15 off.
So I am here to get encouragement. You have all been so good to me and I am going to do my best to return the favor.

Here we go (again)-
I am on Phase 1 1/2 of South Beach (not ready for full Phase 2, can't do just Phase 1 any longer)
I am 145 lbs at 5ft 6 inches.
My goal is 130 lbs. Haven't seen that since........high school maybe?
I am 34 and have 4 children ages 13 (DS) and 10, nearly 6, and 2 1/2 (all DD's).
My 15 th anniversary is in April. I want this weight off well before that.
I guess that's it.
Congrats to all on losses. Have fun to all who are heading on vacation. And way to go to all the newbies, as well as those who continue to support and maintain.
:cheer2:

Good luck to you Melissa - you can do it when you set your mind to it !! :cheer2:

I've been on the beach for about a year and have lost 56 lbs.......I've been maintaining since about July, gaining and losing the same 2 or 3 lbs over and over again :-) I'm just trying to stay steady through the holidays - enjoying the season but trying not to go too "wild".......I have a pair of close fitting jeans that will help keep me on track....they will let me know if I'm going off course !

LOL I think I have that same pair of jeans. They were a bit loser today so I am on the right track.
Thanks for the kind words. I need them.

Well I'm back from WDW and USO. Had a great time. I'm actually down about 1.5 lbs. I'm still not down to my pre thanksgiving weight but I'm getting close. I tried to eat right without out being obsessive about it. I was traveling with my parents this time so had to take their taste into consideration when picking out places to eat. I allowed myself 1 treat each day figuring all of the walking would take care of that. Over the 10 days I had a mickey bar, a toll house Ice Cream Bar, Apple cobbler from Fort Wilderness, some chocolates from Ghiridelli, and cake from Golden corral off park. Otherwise I stayed on program about 85% of the time. I did have a couple of sandwiches but only ate 1/2 the bun.

If you remember a year ago last September on my last trip I wasn't able to ride Dueling Dragon or Hulk at IOA. This year I was able to ride in the normal seats. Although the Big Boy Seats on Hulk were a little more comfortable. All Three rides (Fire, Ice, and Hulk) were GREAT. I was able to ride both Fire and Ice in the front. That is the best seat to ride in my opinion. Make the near misses even better.

I also went to Typhoon Lagoon Thursday. It was the best day of the whole vacation weather wise. It was in the Mid 70's during the day that day and didn't rain until evening. The rest of the trip was either Cool (low 60's) or Wet or Both. My favorite ride their was Crushin' Gusher the new water coaster. Each of the three slides are a little short but the up hill sections allow for bigger drops without an extremely short ride time. My favorite was the Coconut Crusher. It was a neat airtime hill in the middle although it makes for a shorter ride time.

The biggest surprise for me this trip came then I got off the rides and looked at the on ride photos. Before I stuck out like a sore thumb in the pictures. This time, I blended into the crowd much better. I not a small guy buy any stretch of the imagination but I really had to hunt for myself a couple of times.

All in all a great vacation. Hoping to get back to the WDW either in September or December next year.

Hello again Melissa! Welcome back. You can do it, it just takes that willpower.

Sandy, wtg!!!!!!!! So happy and proud of you. I still say maintaing is the hardest thing. Stay with it. FInd some great receipes for the holidays that won't slip you up!

Jeremy, I hope you had a great trip. I know I did. I just got in this evening and trying to make a dent in this 400 list of emails I got!!!!!

Happy Holidays everyone!! I hope your Christmas was wonderful. I am so looking forward to starting a whole new year!!!!!

I'm putting my SB book on the table Jan. 1 and am really, really gonna be good!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all. Christmas is still going on here. The family is getting together tomorrow. I also have a choir party from church on Wednesday. For New Years Eve, I traveling to North Carolina for a Petra Concert. It is their last show (at least until their revival).

Hello everyone - hope you are all enjoying the holidays !

I've been enjoying just a little too much and have put on a couple of pounds, plus I've been out of the exercise routine.....back on track w/ the exercise this week so that should help and the cookies are almost gone ;-) Once normal life resumes I'm hopeful everything will even out......

Hi, everybody! I haven't posted much lately, but I have been reading. I just wanted to stop in and grab my 20 lb clippie!!! It's definitely a Christmas miracle, lol. I had lost 19 before our Dec 16-22 trip to WDW. I thought between that and Christmas, I would either have stayed the same or gained. But, I've been very good this week ( well, a few sliip-ups :teeth: ), but I've lost 2 more pounds!!! :Pinkbounc

Trust me when I say, if I can do this . . . anyone can. I've been overweight to varying degrees since I was a freshman in high school many, many, many moons ago. So for those who may be discouraged or looking for encouragement, I'm cheering you on!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

And, Happy New and Healthy Year!!!!

 wickey's friend :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats!!!!!

Happy New Year everyone!

Stopping in to say hi. Been crazy with relatives here and family drama. Phase 2 was going sooooo slow, so yesterday I decided for the gazillionth time to finally attempt a cheat free Phase 1 2 weeks. I am in day 2 and no cheating. Please God let me get through just once without a slip. I need to get this last 10 off. Best wishes to all for a great new year on the beach. I am hoping to start my new "life on the beach" and keep with it. Thanks for all the encouragement. Happy to see all of you doing well.
Well, off to excercise and then off to the market to get SB supplies.

Happy New Year everyone !!

I'm looking for opinions.....I've gained probably about 5 pounds over the last 2 weeks ...... I know what did it - cookies,m&ms,potatoes, too much pizza......
if I go back to my right way of eating and kick in again with regular exercise do you think I'll be ok and lose the 5 or do I need to do a Phase 1 to jump start myself.....I need to get back on track - after all this work I now see how easy it would be to gain alot back if you don't stick with it !

Phase 1. It is what is supposed to stop those cravings and nip them i nthe bud!!!

WTG, S&k'smom, baby steps. Take each meal one at a time and before ya know it...........
