South Beach Dieters Thread ??? Anyone???

I think that could work. Not doing SB, though, so I don't know if that would help. But I can post. :rotfl:

So far today:
Yogurt 4 pts
Quaker rice cake 2 pts
Raisins 0
1/4 C blackberries 0 (from my backyard!)
Microwave chicken meal 7 pts
Jello 2 pts

And Cherry Coke Zero!

No, it's OK. I still have my WWs food points list and remember I was on WWs before.

Not to get personal but are you bloated or do you get bloated. Around that time of the month some of us retain water. Or maybe I'm the weird one because I got my monthly on time and every month since I had my baby (who is almost 10 mos. old now) and I breast fed.

But you know what, we'll check on you next week. I'm sure this will all pass. Are eating up all of your points for the day? How many points do you save if you save them for the end of the week. I used to do that so I could have Chinese fried rice. :p

I know someone who counts her calories w/ doing WWs and she's dropping pounds.

I'm constantly bloated. I hate it. I have a really bad tendency to retain water. :headache:

I generally try to eat the points for the day.

Next week we'll see what's going on with you. Hopefully this is just a phase.

My weight is fluctuating by one pound now. I was 201 yesterday and now I'm 202 today. As long as I don't see a 203 then I'm good.

Yesterday's menu was a bit corny because I ate leftovers but here it is:

B - taco salad

S - TBS peanut butter

L - stuffed cabbage w/ lean ground turkey and beans w/ a slice of 100% whole wheat bread

S - 2 TBS of peanut butter (I was being greedy)

D - A cup of tuna helper (I made it for my DD as a treat) a top a salad w/ a cut up boiled egg

S - 2 TBS of peanut butter (while watching Barack Obama acceptance speech)

I didn't drink all of my waters...SHAME ON ME!!!

I'm not on SBD, remember? :lmao:

Your lunch sounded good. But your dinner entertainment leaves something to be desired. ;)
I don't think you'll see 203. I'm back down to 166, thank God.

I wish I could do SB. I'm lactose intolerant and I can't handle all the dairy. Even uses lactose pills, it doesn't help.

I'm trying Sugarbusters, it's less restrictive than SB, but I don't have to worry about being in phases.

Good luck, everyone!:cheer2:

I posted foods to avoid for those who wanted to see it.

How often do you weigh yourself?

I don't really eat any dairy ...cheese and eggs are considered proteins in the SBD. Is that what you mean? You don't have to eat those. Sometimes I don't eat eggs at all and just eat more chicken and fish.

Yeah, what is sugarbusters???

So I think my tummy has shrunk because I don't get hungry like I used to. I think I'm finally disciplined.

Hi ya'll. Well I am starting SBD tomorrow, although I don't know how well I'll do the first day cuz I can't shop untill tuesday when I am off work.:headache: But I think I can do fairly well, and I really wanted to start fresh in september.
I have the same difficulties as some of you as I can't make my husband eat SBD, because he doesn't eat any thing that is green:scared1: . And of course he weighs like 155 and is 6ft tall:sad2: . But luckily he has really simple taste so I can mostly make what I would eat and then just make mashed potatoes or pasta or rice for him.
Oh I guess I should give my stats
Start date 9/1/08
CW 228:eek:
GW 115-125 although I would be happy with 140.
Wish me luck:cheer2:

I wish you so much luck!!!! I applaud you for wanting to try it out. I just want to say that P1 is no walk in the park (if you love to eat like me ;) ) but STICK WITH IT. It's only 2 weeks and will go buy fast. If you have any questions or want to talk about your days then this is the place to do so! I had so many questions during Week 1 of P2 and didn't get it straight until like Day 5 because I was taking the meal plans to literally. You can eat more than the min. food recommended in P1 so indulge if you want to.

Some people don't like to keep food journals, but it helps! Please start one. It motivates you to stick with your diet and exercise. Also, some people don't like to weigh themselves either, but I say do it each morning after your potty and keep your results in your food journal. It's easy to track your progress this way and when you make it to week 7 like me and see what you've accomplished you WILL have a big smile on your face.

Again, good luck and stick with it! :thumbsup2

Well, its the first day and I am off to work now. I agree with the food journal, although I hate keeping one, which is probably why I haven't had success in the past. I signed up with fitday yesterday so I am going to do that, I like all the graphs and tracking things that they have. Hope everyone has a good day.:thumbsup2

Oh yeah I need to go log into my fitday.com account. :lmao: I'm having trouble keeping up with it.

I use the graph faithfully at the tickerfactory.com maybe is why I can't keep up with fitday!

Going back to watching TV. Gustav is a piece of work. I need to keep my eye on that. My sister is down in Alabama close to the storm.

Have a good day everyone! :goodvibes

GL, Wishes! You can do it. Just remember, if you get hungry have a legal snack. That keeps me from straying. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Congrats, hopefully I will be seeing that number at some point! So I did good yesterday, although I was tempted beyond belief. I am a nurse and work in a hospital and yesterday the night shift had a potluck so there was lots of cake and pie and chips leftover, then one of my coworkers brought in doughnuts:scared1: . And if that wasn't enough, I work 12hr days so my shift covers all of dayshift and part of evening shift, so at three my evening supervisor comes in with a fruit plate, crackers and cheese:headache: . But I did not have any of it, except for a small piece of cheese:banana: . I am going shopping today to stock up. Hope everyone is well.

That's so hard. At my former job all these people would bring food; it's so tough not to eat all the carb-loaded stuff they bring.

And you would think being nurses in a healthcare setting there would be more healthy food. But no, we are bigger junk food junkies than anyone. I guess no one gets excited about a veggie platter;)
