Soup for meal

Grand Floridian Cafe has French Onion soup tgatvis really good. Don't forget Le Cellier's beer cheese and pretzels. YUM. Morimoto has hot and sour soup and miso soup. I can't think of any others that I've tried.

If you find yourself on the boardwalk, Trattoria al Forna always has Zuppa del Giorno (soup of the day) for $7.
I have had a few different soups there and they've all been lovely.

While I certainly agree that Boma has very good soups, I doubt that's what the OP is looking for. $45 for a bowl of soup is pretty steep.
Agreed! On the other hand, The Mara has a pretty wide selection of soups.

I like the French Onion soup at Chefs de France, it's delicious. It is very filling, I usually can't finish a bowl.

Yeah, my spouse just had a surgery that reduced the size of his stomach, he can only has clear liquid right now, I just not sure what he can handle by the end of next month. On the other hand my son and I still would like to have full meals. It is kind of tricky to plan for this trip for sure.
I did book Boma tho. I am wondering if it's too mean to make him watch us enjoy the buffet while he can only eat like a bird.

I have a smaller appetite (grazer) and am not a fan of heavier food and really enjoy Boma. The soups and salads are wonderful and for some reason I prefer the fruit there. Everyone knows how unhealthy a salad can be if you load it up with cheese and honey mustard but you have to watch soups too. Some of the Disney soups are basically large bowls of melted saturated fat, yummy but not so healthy.

Not in a park but, Smoked tomato bisque was pretty great at California Grill the Goat Cheese Ravioli which has been on the menu since the renovations a few years ago could also be passed off as soup and is my favorite thing at California Grill, ever.

I like the French Onion soup at BOG. It didn't taste to salty to me and I can be sensitive to that. Maybe the restaurant just isn't very reliable when it comes to that. Hope the PPs said something to a staff member about it.

It's like people always speak well about the French Onion soup at Le Chefs and I greatly disliked it. Talk about too salty and there was no where near enough onion in my serving.

I know Skipper's Canteen has a hot & sour soup on the menu & I've read a few good reviews about it but haven't tried it myself yet.

I like the potato leek soup at R&C.

I thought the french onion soup at Chefs was alright.

One of the best soups I've Ever had was at Sanaa & it was this past (late) Sept & at the time the seasonal soup was a split pea. It was Amazing!!

I haven't read the whole thread, but Mara has some of the same soups as Boma. And, I could go to the buffet and only eat soups. They are that GOOD!!!

That's how I felt when I went to Boma, I was filling up on the soups out of everything! But both times I ate there, I kept getting sat at a table right under the AC vent so everything got cold pretty quick.

I did not know that Mara has more than that one stew so I will definitely be checking that out! Thanks for the info! :)

I had a sleeve nearly three years ago and I can still only eat about 1/2 cup of food and I usually eat twice a day. Your husband will still be adjusting his diet at the time of your trip. Just wanted to throw that out there for you, in case your husband may be bothered by it.

Enjoy your trip!

We had to change our plan several time and we have settled for the last week of July (DVC points will expire July 31st). He is doing good after the surgery and looking forward to the trip.

Wishing him success with his new journey. :-)

The lobster bisque in France can also be found at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. We love stopping there! It's the best QS in Epcot (IMO)...great sandwiches, cheese tray, bread, pastries and the soup :) .

Twice when we ate at Chef Mickey's, they had the smoked tomato bisque, and it was fantastic. Interesting that California Grill was serving it.

My son ordered the chicken noodle soup at the Tune-In Lounge which is the bar at 50s Prime Time. Said it was almost as good as mine. ;)
