Sounds you can't stand?

It's always such a relief to turn off the AC or fans in the summer and have quiet. I can't hear anything over the noise.

Right now, the extremely low hum of the refrigerator is annoying me.

How about being on the receiving end of a phone call where someone is using their speaker phone in public? Try hearing what they are saying over the tinny connection with all the ambient sounds surrounding them, not the least of which could be their hand moving on the phone because they are walking or just adjusting their holding of the phone. Gah! Some days I really miss landlines!

Or whne people are scrolling through TikTok or whatever with volume up - just UGH! Nobody wants to listen to that!
