Sound of Music Actress Charmian Carr dies

She was the beautiful actress who played the oldest daughter, Liesl.

She was only 73, and had dementia, which I hadn't heard before.

How sad. May she RIP.

I thought she was so pretty. Even recently. Something I learned - she's Darlene Carr's sister.

They looked a lot alike. I remember her from quite a few shows.

Very sad news. SOM is my favorite movie. She was a beautiful woman with those stunning blue eyes and had a beautiful singing voice. I'm surprised she didn't continue acting and become more well-known.

I think it's nice that all the children from the movie remained close friends over the years, like a real family. Hadn't heard she was ill either. RIP Charmian.

Very sad indeed, to be taken by dementia. Never think the parents will outlive the children in real life and on screen. May she RIP. "The Sound of Music" has always been my favorite movie, too.
