i am sorry.....These questions have probably been asked a million times but.....once more please :)

DH - 39, DS 10, DD 7 - Mother & Father and me - 39

2 bedroom villa?
2 bedroom lockout?
Definitely want a building close to HH. Any suggestions?
Top? Middle? Ground floor?

Everything else I think I have under control. I just keep going through buildings/room setups in my mind and I am slowly loosing it!!!!

Thanks for all of your help!

Lauren

If you get a bedroom lock-off, your parents could have their own room with a kitchenette, frig and microwave. They also have a little porch and a seperate front door entrance. Not essential, but it might be nice for them to have privacy. Both a lock-off and a dedicated will have 2 queen beds in the room.

If you weren't planning on the children sharing with the grandparents, they can sleep on the sleeper sofa in the living room. The king bed suite is all yours. (Just noticed you've got a girl and a boy....I'll leave it to you to figure out the best configuration.)

If stairs aren't a consideration, I like the 2nd floor for a better view. The third flight can be a killer on older folks or folks with strollers. Only a few buildings have elevators.

Being near HH has never been a concern for me. If you feel that's important, go ahead and add it to the requests.

Looks like a grand villa would be in order. Either that or a 2 bedroom with the kids sleeping in the bedroom with the grand-parents. Being close to HH is not as necessary as some make it out to be. All our buses stop there before they leave OKW.

We have stayed several times in Bldgs. 62-64, which have elevators. These are newer buildings with lovely views, all close to the Hospitality House. You might try requesting one, you never know! Diana

I too don't think being near HH is a must. We try to get far away from there! If you will have anyone sleeping in the living room, be sure to request the higher numbers to have a seperate entrance to the toilet that doesn't go through the master bedroom. As to lock off or not...I really don't think it matters so much unless someone is sleeping in the living room. The dedicated 2 bedroom has a HUGE closet where the extra entrance would be, and our family likes that! If you think one group would disturb anyone in the Living room, then a lock off would be best.

When we invited the Grandparents, we gave them the master bedroom and shared the second bedroom with our daughter. It was a nice treat for them and we figured we'd have many more years to enjoy DVC than they will!

Also, I absolutely HATE it when someone has to sleep in the living room. I know I am spoiled. It's just so nice to be able to stay up late or get up early without having to worry about disturbing anyone else. Love to make coffee and sit on the balcony watching the rest of the world wake up.

I'm sure you will enjoy your OKW visit no matter which room you receive.

I am of the same school as you, Carol! I often get up and enjoy a cup of coffee on the balcony while the sun rises! It is my favorite time of day! We even had a 2 bedroom for a few days in January when it was just the 2 of us. Our guests left a few days before us, and we didn't change the ressie, so we had an empty room for a few days.

The top floor is quieter, but remember OKW has stairs. So if anyone has problems with climbing 1 or 2 flights at the end of the day, request a building in the 60s. As these have evelators.

Thanks so much for all of your wonderful suggestions! After trying everything but my actual "home" I can't wait to get there.

Thanks Again!

Lauren

We stayed at a 2 bedroom - dedicated back in March. We were in building 11 on the second floor. This was a great unit. The balcony back up to woods, but you could still see the golf course. it was very quiet, and it was only a very short walk to the hosptiality house and the main pool. I's ask for something around this building. I think this area of the resort only has dedicated 2 bedroom units though.
