Hmm, if you have a September Use Year, you'll be getting your 2007 points in about 3 weeks, right? So you can bank them into 2008, and you must use them between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009. You would also have your 2008 points added to your account on September 1, 2008. If you needed both sets of points to make a reservation, you would be fine to use them all. Otherwise, you'd have to bank the 2008s into 2009,and so on.

At least that's how I think it works!!!

DVCLiz is correct, but you can NOT bank them until your use year starts. I would probably not want to bank them that quickly though. I did that early in our ownership, and then ended up borrowing points when I needed to take a quick trip. There is really no need to bank them until just before your 100% banking window ends unless you are making a 2008 reservation that needs 2007 points added in.

For example:
You might want a 2008 Christmas ressie that uses 3 years worth of your points. You want to make that ressie in January of '08, so you would need to have your '07 points banked by then so you can use them in your '08 use year for that Dec. '08 ressie. You could also at the same time borrow from your '09 use year.

Just another note of what I like to do to jog my memory about how many points I have and how many I have to use in a given use year. Remembering that you need to use up as many points as you bank in the next year, I usually write down the number I have banked in a different color so that when I am planning, I KNOW that many points has to be used in that year to keep them from being lost.
