when you stay off site, where do you stay? We are renting from a DVC member and are staying for 5n 6d. Without going broke , we'd like to add two days at the beginning of our trip and do Sea world or something before we enjoy the rest of our vaca at Disney. After checking some of the rates, I'm wondering if we're just better off getting the longer hopper and staying at Disney All Stars and then switching to the other resort?!

Think I'd search my dates on Travelocity and maybe hotelkingdom----unless you've already done that!!

First- don't be sorry. This board is designed to help travelers that don't want to stay onsite. I would start by doing a search on some of booking sites and then possibly do a search here for some reviews.

Thank you for the link. I saw Buena Vista in my search last night and it looked pretty good to me! We'll see. I saw a few more that appealed to me...
Who knows...now Dh is talking about doing just Disney again, so we may be back to mods or values by tomorrow!!!

This past December we stayed at Buena Vista Suites and got the discounted rate from mousesavers ($89 per nite). It was renovated this past year and was very clean. It was great having two real rooms, not just a half-wall like some suites. We put the kids to bed and got to enjoy some grown-up time in the living room area. The free breakfast was horrible, but if you just want to grab milk and cereal, it's fine. It took us ten minutes to get to the parks. It's a straight shot on 536. I'd recommend it.
