Sorry, But Another Magical Express Question!

I won a trip to WDW and just got my package today. It included my roundtrip airfare and gave me the info. for Magical Express (advising that I would recieve my voucher booklets in a separate mailing). I have also reserved a rental car from Thrifty (just because we like to have a car while in WDW). Does every member of my party HAVE to use the Magical Express or can DH and DS go to pick up the rental car and drive to AKL while DD and myself utilize Magical Express. I guess what I am really asking here is if DH and DS do not get on the bus themselves, will their tagged luggage still make it on?

Luggage is pretty quick at MCO so why wouldn't all of you just go in the rental car?

I just figured it would be nice to not have to retrieve the luggage and lug it out to the rental car (even though you are right, it is pretty quick) and for us to just hop on a bus while the boys go and get the car, then just meet up at AKL for check-in.

I disagree. One of the things that dropped Orlando from the top airports list is the length of time it takes to get luggage these days. Sometimes you can wait quite a while. I would use DME and let Disney wait for the luggage. You can be on the way to the resort and your husband could just get the car.

THANKS!!!! So we don't all have to use DME???? He can get the car but his luggage can go on DME with us?? Still a little unclear

We didn't win any trip but we did just that a few weeks ago.

The 3 ladies took ME and the 2 guys went to an empty rental and all arrived within minutes of each other .Our bags about 4 hrs behind ( 4pm ) .

Just let them know when checking in at the ME counter and all will be good .If you can try to use the tags (second name on them) with the people using ME but I'm not sure if that matters as the CM never asked about what tags we used.

We even arrainged for our neice to come down mid week but she couldn't get away from school .

Me is great just keep them in the loop and they can make things happen for you.

I'm going to start to look at renting at the DTD hotels or CCC at the TTC and just use ME this will also shave some time off the rental as we can rent it later in the day.
