Just me and the boys, just a guy trip, to see The 'Stros clip the wings of the Redbirds! Wearing all of the appropriate, non red Astros clothing, and, sitting on the third base side, of course!

Have fun! I'm rooting for a White Sox-Astros World Series. :cheer2:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm sorry - but the Cardinals are so going to be flying high this series!
But you will discover that the Cardinals Fans are the best in baseball and will treat you guys with respect.

I'm not a fan of either team, but I've got to admit to rooting for the Cards. They need to get back to the World Series, I know they've got to do better than last year.

Enjoy Busch Stadium, while it's still there!

Hope you like our fair city, and the mentality of our fans.

We love our baseball and our Cardinals out here. :)

Go Cards!

I have no idea what happened at the WS last year. It was very strange watching them. It was like they were a completely different team. Last year and this year they had/have the most wins of all the teams in both leagues. They definitely have what it takes to bring this thing home--and hopefully at Busch.

Enjoy the Guys only trip!! Being from Houston, you know who I'm rooting for!!

I hate to say it, but could LaRussa (spelling?) be the problem? Think back to his A's teams--they would have a great regular season, but only won 1 World Series.

I'm not into baseball that much to know how the manager affects the team in that respect. Didn't even know he used to be with the A's.

I wish the Cards luck from your red haired stepchild in KC!!!

We want revenue sharing!!!

HaHaHa

Pettitte tomorrow, on full rest.
Oswalt on Thursday, on full rest
Clemens on Saturday, on full rest.

Bakke on Sunday, full rest
Pettitte on Monday, 4 days rest
Oswalt on Wednesday, full rest
Clemens in game 7, but, wait, there won't be a game 7,

why,

Because St. Louis is tired. You can see it in the pitching. Carpenter vs. Pettitte, good matchup

Mulder, is he well?

Houston has its pitching lined up, perfectly, St. Louis does not

St. Louis has played its guns back into the line up, but, this year, as opposed to last, Houston comes with the pitching, which it did not have lined up properly last year.

Oh, and for those in St. L., where did you go to high school? :cool1:

LOL! Oakville!
I have a few words for you my friend:
Pujols, Rolens, Edmonds, and Reggie Sanders - 4 count them 4 power hitters!
Carpenteria - on a few days rest, in the best ball park in the country.

I read an article one day on a plane in us news, several years ago, that talked about "home towns" St. Louis was one of the articles, and, it stated, and it is true, that the first question anybody ever asks somebody is where did you go to high school. I have done it many times to complete strangers, and they to me. Great way to break the ice, but also a great way to find out how small the city really is, as you usually know people.

oh, btw, the power hitters can't hit a ball that is pitched by a master, and, eh hem, we have three of them. Anyway, I will be the guy, with the two boys, in astros gear, on the southwest flight tomorrow, and at the game in sec. 258. (couldn't seem to find anything better for three, and I didn't want to waste the money on the fourth since we are only three.

GO CARDINALS!!!
I already have my World Series Tickets in hand! Rooting for a White Sox/Cardinal match up. According to the stats, LaRussa is the 3rd winningest coach in the Major League. (He used to be with the White Sox as well.)

As the others have said, enjoy your stay in our fine baseball city! Feel a little nostalgic about this being the last season in Busch Stadium.

Yes, it's true. Most people ask where you went to HS. I went to Lafayette if anyone cares. :rotfl: Don't worry about the seats--they're all good if you ask me. Even way up in the nosebleed section. You may be in the covered section (depending on your row). So make sure to bring jackets as it can get chilly there. I sat there once and it was like a wind tunnel. We actually left early because we were so cold.

dennis99ss - you have great seats! We have seats in section 264 and you are closer to home plate. You enter your seat area from street level. No going up the ramps. :) If you are in rows 1-8, you won't be covered. Row 9, you will be mostly covered (knees might get a little wet if it's raining and windy). Row 10 and up, covered! :)

Beth, we found the wind tunnel effect over in 217-219 area. YIKES! It makes things really cold! Brrrr.....
I'm not telling where I went to high school. :rotfl:
