Sony A6000 lens hood question

For those of you that use the Sony A6000 camera - is there a lens hood available? My local camera store said no, but I thought I had seen reference to it on here. If so, can you provide link please. I've lost yet another lens cap...

Are you looking for a lens hood or a lens cap or both?

Either way, it depends on the lens, not the camera. What lens is the item missing from?

The standard lens that came with the camera - the short one.

I think you mean the 16-50mm powerzoom. If so, that lens does not come with a "hood". It should have had a front and back "cap". Replacements can be had fairly cheap on amazon or ebay.

Search for Sony SELP 16-50mm lens caps.

There are third party lens hoods for that lens on Amazon.
