I was looking to book airfare for an Aunt and she will be going home out of Bosotn (back to florida) and according to the site, Song flights have already converted their planes from Boston to the new planes!!

I hope it's right and that means that my flight in December won't change much and I still get my non-stop on Song! It tells all the details about the new planes. Anyone see anythng else about this already being done to the Boston flights!?

Anyone flown Song recently??

Guess nobody besides me cares?!

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking. They will be changing the planes to include 26 first class seats, but as far as I know, that won't start until May when Song is converted back to Delta.

Song has always flown the 'new' planes out of Logan to MCO. When they get reabsorbed back into Delta this spring, I think you will find the Song planes won't be used for the shorter Logan to MCO runs. They have said they will be using the Song type planes for the longer coast to coast flights.
So, for your Dec flight....I would keep checking on a weekly basis to see that your flight stays the same. When you get to Nov, start checking daily. I have yet to have a Delta flight stay the same as I booked it...most times it changes about 3-4 times. I do book early, so I expect it.
I am traveling in both Oct and Dec...I would love to fly Song/Delta, but I'm waiting for JetBlue to open their window for those dates. I have grown tired of the many changes Delta feels they have to make. And I really like those TV's in front of me....if I fly Delta I most likely won't get that in Oct...but with JetBlue I will.

It's a gamble if you're looking for the lowest rates as Delta/Song is the cheapest right now and Jet Blue isn't booking past early Sept right now. I've read a few post...not sure where they are getting their info...and the feeling is that rates are going up soon with all airlines.

So if it's a $$ issue you're better booking now with Delta/Song. If it's a non-stop and TV issue, Jet Blue will be releasing Dec scedules and rates in a couple of months and it might cost you more.

And here's a warning. The folks on the other end of the phone know just as much as you or I....

No, not what I meant, the Delta planes coming out of Boston have already been refurbished to include the MP3's, video games and PPV channels. That's according to a travel website. So it looks like somebody knows something somewhere. I ahve already booked my flight with Song (Delta) but it looks as if I will still be flying ina wonderful plane equipped with some great stuff.

here is what travelocity is saying about Delta's flight to MCO;

Delta's Song adds more in-flight options

"Song, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, has added more features to its high tech in-flight entertainment system. Song originally gave you 24 channels of DISH television and an interactive at-your-seat trivia game played against other passengers. Now, you also have a selection of 10 pay-per-view movies at $5 each, the ability to create individual MP3 music playlists of up to 32 songs from an inventory of 1,600, at no cost; and a new selection of 11 popular video games, with a $5 fee for unlimited play on all of them."

That is exactly what Song had when I flew with them in June, and then again in Dec. Well, they didn't have as many ppv movies, only had two or three in June, but in Dec my flight had it all.
