If you are wanting to fly between the dates of Jan 5, 2004 and Jan 31, 2004 the fare has dropped to $171.50 RT taxes included!

I have been waiting for this drop for months...it came this am (9/19/03). I thought it should be coming as SW Air extended their dates.

I am one happy DIS'er! I hope this helps someone. :bounce:

I just checked our flights (paid 200.00 in Aug. for them) for our trip in January from Boston to MCO. They have gone UP to 237.00 since yesterday!! Go figure. I watch it every day though. Good luck to anyone going from BDL (what is that airport anyway?)

Colleen--is Song the carrier on that or is it Delta? I've been trying Song BDL-TPA for February and the carrier is always is Delta. And the price is over around $360 (unfortunately, I'm going during winter break). I'm wondering if because the BDL-TPA route just started last week, they aren't booked as Song yet. I was expecting Song to be cheaper than regular Delta, which, so far it is not.

Hi Kris, my flights are Song booked through the song web site. I looked on the Song site and there are flights listed for Tampa. I also looked on the Delta site and they have a mixture of Delta & Song flights listed.

For the longest time the price has been high and I even contacted Delta to ask when the "low cost" part was going to start with Song...they sent back a prescripted email telling me to look at different times to get a better price!

Unfortunately with you traveling during winter break it's hard to tell if/when prices might drop. I knew at some point mine would drop as they are non holiday dates and I have been tracking the flights for a long time and saw that at other non holiday times flight eventually lowered the price.

Thanks for the heads up about your Song flight dropping in price- it reminded me to check my flights and my fare dropped $50 per person for March....I now have a credit voucher heading my way for $200 for our family!!! Yipee!!

lodgelady and others - this is the first time I've bought airline tickets myself (usually use a TA for them). What do I do if I see the prices drop? How do you go about getting the new price? I always thought that once you bought the tickets, you're stuck with that price!?!?!

Enlighten me! I did check and the price hasn't changed for my Jan14 and 21 flight, but just in case I want to be ready!

Harambe, good news. Go to the Delta web site about once a week. Type in your info. as soon as you get to their front page (its easy, you'll see) and then scroll down till you see your particular round trip and check that price. If it has gone down, call Delta. They will issue you vouchers for the difference! Its great. I did this last year and it really helped in rebooking our vacation a month ago (for Jan.) because it literally paid for the change fees. Our flights haven't changed their price yet, its actually gone up to 237.00 (glad I booked when I did). But I'll keep an eye out for it to go lower.

Oh brother, just reread your post. You know how to check your price change...just call Delta if you see a change:D .
