Sometimes the Best Plan is to Forget the Plan!!

Which cruise should we go on in 2011?!

  • The Eastern Caribbean!

  • The Western Caribben!

:woohoo: for the possible WDW trip.

I think you should do the 7-night Eastern in May 2011 as there is a pretty good chance somebody you know may be on that cruise. :rolleyes1 Then again you may want to avoid that particular cruise as there is sure to be a dark rain cloud following the ship around.

Ooooooooh! Hmmm I will have to check into that. Do you know when that person should be going in May? Because I get new vacation days starting in May since that's when I started working here! That could be fun...I'll have to look into this!! That could totally work!

Ok so I'm *pretty sure* we're going next year! I'm thinking my parents will probably want us to go in November or December, since they were just so hot this year (and I heard it was cooler than normal this year!). So I'm going to start a little list of where I'd like to eat!! Feel free to chime in with opinions or anything!

I think our first must-do's are Tony's Town Square and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Pretty much all of us wanted to try those and we had ADR's but we skipped them! :confused3

After that, I would really like to do the luau, and see which dinner show we like better. Either that or Mickey Backyard BBQ. My mom thinks that would be really fun and I think Landon would love it too. He's already a dancing fool! Plus, we all love BBQ food.

We'll also probably have pre-park opening ADR's again. My parents really preferred that. That probably means Crystal Palace again, since I probably won't go to CRT until I have a daughter, and plus it also means Akershus again, and of course Tusker House again! Is the one in DHS Hollywood and Vine? I'm hoping they'll update it by then to characters who are actually on Playhouse now!

Then I think I'd also like to try the Plaza in the MK. Does anyone like that place? I know the salad my mom had at LTT was one of her favorite meals, but it wasn't that great for my dad or I.

Also, I'm not sure I can get them to really go back to Epcot for very long, so breakfast there might not be worth it. Maybe we'll try Cape May though. We had that and then cancelled it way earlier this year. I think we'll only stop by and drop my mom off in Mouse Gears while my dad and I ride Soarin' and Test Track. Then we might all go on like Figment and Spaceship Earth, but I think that's it. :confused3

I think at DHS, we may try 50's Primetime instead of Sci-Fi this time. I'm still iffy on that though, because I would love a re-do of Sci-Fi after this year! We could do both if we stayed later, but we never stayed at the parks past like 3 or 4 this year.

There's not really anywhere we want to go to eat at AK, except for Donald's Safari Breakfast.

For signature dining, my mom said she would LOVE to do California Grill again, just not during fireworks. That's fine by me...as long as they still have ostrich. But I also want to try Artist Point (because I love buffalo!) or Narcoossee's, for the surf and turf.

Since we will probably be there during football season, we will probably go back to ESPN Club...someone on this DISigns board made this Broncos Mickey and I could make shirts for Landon and I! I'd just get wings though.

I also want to go to Ohana's. I'd be fine with either breakfast or dinner (or both). My mom just recently discovered Lilo and Stitch and loves it, so maybe she'll opt for the breakfast! I'm not sure though. We could do dinner here and then go to Kona for a Tonga toast breakfast!! I still need to try that! The big Kahuna sounds good too...

I think Beaches and Cream sounds good too. Also, for DTD, I want to try the Wolfgang Puck Express! Or Raglan Road...

Oh and we are wanting to go with Deluxe Dining again, we absolutely LOVED it last time!! We loved having everything just taken care of and not having to worry except for alcohol and tips. We always talk about how we wish we were on it at home!

Plus, I'm not sure if we're going to rent DVC points and stay somewhere like WL, or just go with Pop again. Aren't they changing things too, so that if free dining is then, value resorts only get quick dining unless they pay to upgrade? I'm not sure what the difference would be, but it cost us $32 a day, per person to upgrade and that was such a good deal for us!

WOW. ADR overload. :rotfl: It seems like you want to eat at just about every place in WDW! I actually like the Primetime Cafe better than Sci Fi. I think the food is better and the waiters have more fun with you. Try it! Beaches and Cream was really good too but they just have things like burgers and hot dogs. You can get that anywhere. Definitely go in for a sundae though. They're huge!

I know, I know! I Love LOve LOVe LOVE food!

Do the sundaes from Beaches count as a snack, or just as a dessert with the DP? Because if we could get it as a snack, then we might just stop by, but I don't think I'd mind the whole meal!

I'm not sure if the sundaes would be considered a snack because they're so big. I think if you got ice cream at the counter to go it would be a snack but they don't make the special sundaes there.

Kimmy, sounds like a great list...we have not done the dining thing so I can't comment on how they are but,
this is my list for next year:
Donald's Tusker House BK, Ohana BK, and Crystal Palace BK,
than Whispering Canyon for dinner and one other place for dinner I would like to do the luau...

Maybe ya'll will go the same time we do next year....:yay:

Haha--Kimmy, you crack me up! You're really excited about that food, aren't you?! They sound good to me! I do have to say that you should REALLY consider Kona for dinner. It was by far our favorite! :thumbsup2

Oh man, Tony's and WCC are both good places!!!

You have to do the Luau. You know I love it.

Oh I think if you really wanted to go to CRT, you could take Landon. I'm sure the Princesses would love him since he's such a cutie! It's really cool saying you're eating in the Castle!

I haven't ate at the Plaza before, but based on other people's reviews, I understand the place is REALLY small.

Yay Kimmy, another trip in the works!:yay:

Loved, loved, loved going last December...it was PERFECT touring weather and it was just so magical to see everything decoratted. We loved MVMCP, too! Just as an fyi...if you're intersted, check out my link from that trip below...it was my VERY favorite trip and we did it with 6 kids.....some about Landon's age, too.

How exciting!!!:goodvibes

It sails on May 7, 2011. It is the only 7-night Caribbean cruise that month as the Magic leaves for Europe right after.

Maybe we will go the same time!! I don't remember, do you have EXACT dates or just November? That would be fun!! Especially if we did a meal together or something! :goodvibes

I am so excited about food! Remember, that's why Stephanie and I bonded over? This one guy even told me I wasn't a real girl (umm...ok thanks? :confused3) because I ordered ribs instead of a salad! :rotfl:

Did you think that Kona was super "exotic" food for dinner? Because that's what worries me! Plus, I'm always drooling over people's breakfast pics from there!

I'm so sad we skipped Tony's and WCC! :sad2: I'm know thinking I should've been crazy, we HAVE to stick the plan lady! :rotfl:

I know you love the luau! I will have to do it for you!!

I think CRT does sound great...you are starting to convince me. I could even dress him up like a little knight or something!! That could be so cute...hmmm now ideas are going through my head!

I've heard the Plaza is small too, but I've also heard that its like a hidden gem. :confused3

I have been meaning to look at that, but keep forgetting! I'm going to open it now so I don't!

December does sound perfect! :cloud9: I can't wait.

Ooooh okay! I will check with my family and see when they will prefer to go!

Oh yeah almost forgot, definitely eat at The Plaza, the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. :thumbsup2

I think I will! Is it kind of lighter food? Because I thought LTT was too heavy for a lunch.

hey hey!! love ur food list! everything sounds good.

im gunna put my vote in for the Luau and the Raglan Roads!!

can i come with u guys?!?!!? it looks like i probably wont be back for a couple years :(

Hey! You can definitely come! In fact I insist! I would love for you to go with me! I promise now to make you go on ToT! :goodvibes

They mostly have salads and sandwiches.

Sounds perfect!

We are planning the week after Thanksgiving!!!
we will hit the road the day after (black Friday!) Seaworld, US, & IOA on Sat, Sun, and Mon and than Tue-Sat at WDW and hit the road again on Sunday to come home!!!
Dates at Nov. 26-Dec5 at the world Nov 30 - Dec 4, 2010!

Have a great day!!!
:wave2:

November or December would be perfect. I think you guys would have a great time! :thumbsup2

As far as your ADR list goes....we LOVE O'Hana. It's just our favorite place to eat. Some trips, we eat there twice. :goodvibes

And I am also interested in what you said about the Quick Dining Only while staying at POP...I am hoping tp taking my goddaughter in 2010 and going for free dining; I guess it would still be an OK deal to pay to upgrade, but I would rather not. I wonder if they are doing that since a lot of the Free Dining folks stay at POP since it's the best price point. Hmmm....let me know if you hear more on this!

(Oh, and are you on Facebook? If you are and want to PM me, I'll give you my Facebook email address. Have a good one! :wizard:)

Oh that sounds fun! I think I REALLY want a Seaworld day next time! Not sure if we'll get to the US until Landon is older though...

Those dates do sound good though! I think we could at the very least have overlapping trips!

Hey!
Do you prefer Ohanas for breakfast or dinner?

I think if you look around on the dining boards or something you will find something on the quick dining thing. I think it is something they will do since a lot of free diners went to pop. If I find anything more specific, I'll post a link, I just remember briefly reading it on here.

I pm'd you!
