Sometimes DH Really Drives Me Nuts...

I was watching the special they had on WDW that was on the Travel Channel yesterday. I found it to be really interesting, it shows all of the thoughts that went into creating WDW. I was talking to my DH last night over dinner about it (he is not as interested as me), but he insists that Walt Disney was creogenically frozen (I have no idea how to spell this) in the 1960's due to the fact that he wanted to be "thawed" when they came up with a cure for cancer. I find this to be absolutely nuts. He told me that he has heard this quite a few times in the past. Has anyone else ever heard this rumor. By the way...please don't think that I am crazy for this post. My DH is a therapist/psychologist so he could talk pretty much anyone into believeing pretty much anything!!! This is one thing, however, that I do not believe!! What do you think?

The rumor that Walt was "frozen" has been going around for years.

I believe though he was cremated when he died. No he was not frozen.

I'm sure there are a ton of "mythbuster" or "urbanlegendbuster" websites that address this. I don't believe it, either.

Walt Disney's body was NOT cryogenically frozen as many people say; he was cremated and buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
He is buried with his wife, his daughter, and his son-in-law.

If your husband is a psychologist, he is too smart to fall for urban legends like this. Ask him how believable he would find it if a client told him this kind of silliness!!

My husband retired in 2001 (three days before our first land/sea package!) from being a Cryogenic Technician for one of the leaders in the industry. It's not possible (yet) to freeze and revive someone. People used to ask him all the time, though, if he was the one who "froze Walt". His standard answer was "Yes, and he's in my freezer. We'll take him out next time we go to WDW. Maybe we'll get a discount."

Actually, Walt is down in Argentina where he shares a villa with Der Fuhrer and Amelia Erhardt.
