Something Wierd we do not know about you???

Well....I am pretty normal.....but..................

I have a fear of yellow cheese, I know, sounds weird, but can't stand the stuff, can't touch the stuff, it CREEPS me out :confused3 . White Cheese is fine, I LOVE Pizza....but I wouldn't eat a piece of yellow cheese for a million dollars AND a trip to WDW!!!!!

I can't stand pet stores. Especially the fish tanks-Nemo is okay. I love Nemo to pieces. But real fish skeeve me out. *shudders* I don't-like-with-a-passion when people don't put screens on their fish tanks either. It bothers me when fish are "unfenced" especially if a tank is on the bottom row. What if I step in it? What if a fish jumps out and tries to eat my leg?

****WARNING- THIS STORY WILL NOT HELP YOUR PHOBIA****

This reminds me of some fish I gave my friend. He had a little tank with a couple of them (maybe 5) and we called them bungee jumping fish because you always had to make sure the tank was closed of they would jump out. Well, he had one jump out and picked it up and put it back in the tank. A few minutes later he walked past the tank and screamed like a girl. He thought he had stepped on a fish but it was just a piece of tape.

I can't sleep with any lights on, the vcr power button bothers me. I bought 4 alarm clocks recently and had to return them all, they were too bright. (Yeah Dh loves that one- he thinks I am a freak)

I have light issues with sleeping too. I cover the alarm clock with a little eye pillow so that light doesn't shine from it and have a "head pillow" to put on top of my head so that light doesn't bother me from the window in the morning.

Sorry, but :rotfl2:

I HATE it when someone whistles. I get really angry! No idea why though.:upsidedow

I also hate to be tickled but I grew up with 3 older brothers so that's understandable!:rotfl2:

I collect Happy Meal toys. I have 100's still in the bag and have some that over 20 years old. I eat happy meals with my girls so I can get the toy too!

Sounds like some common threads here, I was at Grandfather Mt also but wouldn't go near it. My DH went across & had me take a picture, I had trouble doing that, just looking at open heights scares me so.

A lot of times when I call someone, I have to write down everything I plan to say starting with Hi, my name is..., lest I forget who I am.

One thing I don't consider weird but probably very uncommon, I love model trains. It seems to be mostly a guy's hobby but I love them and have my own set.

I had a fish when I was little who jumped out of his bowl in the middle of the night. I found little Flounder with my foot in the morning.:scared1:

I don't eat ANYTHING that swims. :scared:

I pick things up things with my toes ....open and close drawers, too....my DS (4 years old) does it, too.

I sniff everything before I eat or drink it....I'm scared of eating something spolied. :scared1:

Reading another thread reminded me of something my DH thinks is weird. The scene in The Exorcist where her head spins around, I thought that was hilarious, I was the only one in the theater laughing.

Then when the remake came out we saw that in the theater also (yes, I'm that old to have seen the original in the theater) the part where Regan's coming down the steps on all 4's, she looked like a crab & that cracked me up. Just thinking of it is making me laugh.

:faint: :faint: :faint:    :scared1: :scared1:

Fish are not friends to me. The kind of "friendship" that fish and I have is like that of a scary axe murderer who hitchhikes and the innocent people who pick him up to give him a ride to the hospital (or wherever he's going).

Isn't ironic that we have a ginormous fish tank in our sunporch and I have a fishyphobia? Will wonders never cease.

Thought of something else: not me but dd (12), often walks on just her toes:confused3
We had a friend over (age 40) many years ago who was the first to notice it. She said she is a "toe walker" too!

Sorry, but :rotfl2:

No need to apologize. I was there with him and laughed for about a good half hour. I still haven't let him live that one down and it was about 12 years ago!!

I am another one who likes raw potatoes with a bit of salt. Since I hate shoes I walk around barefoot all the time. Summer, winter doesn't matter. I only wear shoes when I have to. I pick up things with my toes also. Not too weird.

A lot of times when I call someone, I have to write down everything I plan to say starting with Hi, my name is..., lest I forget who I am.
I do this too! Well I don't write down my name but I do write down everything else I plan to say beforehand otherwise I completely blank out.

I can't sleep with any lights on, the vcr power button bothers me. I bought 4 alarm clocks recently and had to return them all, they were too bright. (Yeah Dh loves that one- he thinks I am a freak)
I'm the same way. I HATE lights of any sort when I sleep. I had an old alarm clock that I would turn upside down at night because it was too bright. I recently bought one that can change colors. I leave it on a really dull red at night and it's really unnoticable.

I do rubber stamping and have some nice papers, handmade, decorative, etc. I don't want to use them cause then they'll be gone. But that's what they're for. It's not like I can't buy more.
You are making me feel sorta sane! :rotfl: I do this also! Someone bought me nice stationary years ago and I don't use it because then I won't have any left. I know I can always buy more but I just won't use what I have.

Something weird about me...I can't stand when my hands are dirty. I don't mind playing in the dirt or getting dirty, just my hands bother me. Greasy, wet, gritty, sticky, they all freak me out. If I'm eating french fries I wipe my hands after every fry. I don't even realize I do it.

When I gets S T R E S S E D I build things with Legos!:confused3 Instant Relief:thumbsup2

Let's see...

I hate talking on the phone. I don't care who's on it, I hate it. Weird for a teenager, right? :confused3

I hate anything being in my face, especially my hair. The only reason I tolerate my glasses is because I've had them for so long I've grown used to them.

I get freaked out about stuff happening in my mouth that I'm not in control over. I absolutely hate the dentist; hearing all that noise and not knowing what's happening. Mostly the orthodontist is fine, but when brackets or bands from my braces are taken off, the popping noise nearly kills me. It makes me think my teeth are breaking. :scared:

I hate anything with a skirt.
