Something That I've Been Thinking About...

And you're saying what you said earlier wasn't rude?

Hitler wanted to create a super human, flawless race of aryan people. He killed anybody who he didn't think was fit to be in the world, but he could care less how many of his super race populated the world.

The idea of population control isn't hitler-like. It's pretty much saying 'Hey, think of the animals and your future generations, do you seriously need a crapload of kids? If you want more than two of em, adopt a few.'

You by far were way more rude to her...
You pretty much called her stupid and you told someone else she shouldn't reproduce because she has an illness. ALMOST EVERYONE has some sort of illness they can pass on weather it be asthma, eczema, cancer, mono, whatever.

The idea of population control is VERY EXTREMELY Hitler like. Population control is denying people rights. And telling ill people not to reproduce is wanting a flawless race. And Hitler didn't kill them all. He sterilized some and they lived...actually quite a few people lived.

Maybe people want a "crapload" or kids...3 isn't that many. And some people can not afford to adopt. Adopting costs quite a bit more then actually raising a child.

It's for the greater good of everything living on this Earth. I think you can see the obvious right in that.

Yes, I can see that the great good is right.
What I can't see is how saying a person can only have a certain amount kids is for the greater good, or how it is right.

No, I never said she couldn't geez. I said why would she want to cause her offspring pain and suffering? And you can't pass on most of the things you said. And mono is like chicken pox, you can only have it once. o.O

All your points are are heartless.

I'm sorry you think that D;

God will protect us. If we trust him.

But what if there is no God? I know there is a possibility in him/her existing, but there is a greater possiblity that he/she does not exist. You can't put all your worries into the hands of something that may or may not exist.

It's right because those people can adopt if they want more. It's for the greater good because human overpopulation is ruining the world. X.X

You can pass on asthma and eczema and some forms of cancer...

Mono you can have many times...Actually once you have had mono your stuck with that virus forever which leads to chronic sore throats and a weakened immune system and it can be passed on.Believe me I've had many discussions with my doctor about that. If tour a carrier of the virus it will be passed on to your children. And you can have the chicken pox more then once...

I believe in him completely.

I don't think overpopulation is the thing we need to be worrying about.

If my child was born with an illness, I wouldn't blame myself and say I wish I hadn't gotten pregnant.
Some people might think it or say it, but they usually don't mean it. Because they love their child around, they're glad the child had a chance at life. And suffering, is a part of human life most of the time. Some people have to do deal with it early in life, others it comes much later. Sometimes the pain is worse for others.
But I dont' think I could ever say that I wouldn't have a child just because there's a chance an illness in my family could run into their genes. I would do my best to make them feel loved, I'd do my best to keep them healthy. I'd sit at their bedside in the hospital. I believe it'd be worth it, even though the pain it would put me and my entire family through might be more than what comes out of our peserverance.
Human life, is precious.

You do realize, after a while, there won't be kids to adopt if people are being sterilized left and right. First off, after say two kids which they plan on keeping they won't be able to have anymore. And then the ones who never planned on having kids who were forced to be sterilized in case of an accident...
It wouldn't be soon, but it would happen.
The only kids that would be available would be orphans.

Good thing I'm not having a kid then. I had mono.

It's pretty much the root of everything bad going on today... Or at least a good fraction of it.

I don't know why you'd want to give your child a life if you knew it would/could be mostly suffering. That's sick and wrong. Especially if it's just for your enjoyment of the kid.

Oh really?
I highly doubt that.

You'd be surprised how very many orphans there are. And if there was a child limit that doesn't mean people couldn't sneak around and have more kids.

And the same exact thing you said applies to dogs and cats. What are you going to do when there are no more? Let them breed freely for a while again!

It's actually, not sick or wrong. If it were, most kids who were born with an illness wouldn't exist, and conjoined twins wouldn't be alive.
Besides, some illnesses do get better in time. Remission DOES happen. And I wouldn't give my childs life away when there's a chance they could get better.
