I'm not sure what it is. But whatever it is, it was messing up my asthma earlier before I could really *smell* it, and now there is a definite smell on the air.
It doesn't smell like gas, and we have a C02 detector which isn't going off, the smoke detector isn't going off, the kitties aren't reacting to it. It smells kitty-related, but none of the kitties smell of it, nor does it appear to be coming from their litterboxes.
What's strange, is if I keep my head upright, I can't smell it at all. But if I tilt my head back or lie down, I smell it very strongly. Almost like the smell is in my nose itself or something.
DH is of course out of town, so I can't ask him to confirm the smell. And I don't know whether I should call someone (if so, who at 3 in the morning??) or just wait until tomorrow and see if it's still there tomorrow or what. For all I know, it's coming from outside -- but if so, I don't want to open the door/window and let more smell in.
