Something old vs. something new?

So, I scored an AP rate for WLV for last week of January @ 179.00 per night. We have stayed at WL before and it is our favorite. We have also stayed at AKL, CBR, and POP. We chose WLV because we had a bad experience at CBR and are afraid to try something new again. We didn't like how spread out it was, and the lack of theming. Now we are thinking maybe we should try somehting new, like BCV, BWV, or one of the resorts on the monorail.

What do you think? Should I stay at WL to assure a good time or should we venture out and try something new?

I would venture out and try something new. Of course my goal is to stay in all the resorts. Although you may have had a bad experience at CBR did it ruin your whole trip? Something may have made you uncomfortable but you still had a good time. Staying at WL is not going to guarantee that you have a great trip vs staying somewhere else, is it?

When we want to try some place new we always make the last 2 or so days of the trip at a favorite resort to soften the blow in case we end up hating where we are staying! Gives you a familiar happy place to look foward to, and it's good to visit your favorite even if you like the new resort you tried.

I have stayed for about 11 years at the Grand Floridian Sugar Loaf and Royal Palms concierge and I haved the best experience there. I also stayed at the Wildenress Lodge Old Faithful Club and the service wasnt asgood as the Grand Floridian. I wouldsuggest staying at the Grand.

As you can see from my signature, I like to try some place new each time. I thought CBR was too spread out also. What about POFQ or POR? I have read a lot of good things about those 2. We were considering those until my dad got a convention rate at GF. There are so many different places to stay I always have a hard time deciding. I think we are going for the Poly next. No matter what resort you stay in you are at WDW !!!!!
