Just a quick fly by to let you all know that Matt did great on his drivers test! He got a 95 percent with only a few small "reminders". The instructor told him he did a great job, but...not to let it go to his head! ;)

So I guess we have another driver in the house! Now it's time to call the insurance company! :faint:

Off to work - everyone have a great day!

Congrats to Matt!!

Now you have another incentive for good behavior

good behavior = more driving opportunities :thumbsup2

My oldest DS wants to get his permitt and drivers lic but told him not right now due to our car not being able to pass and not to mention DW wants to get her drivers lic too:lmao: :lmao:

Very funny, Janet! Can you imagine a keisha/macraven ticket?! :thumbsup2

Bed's here. Woot! Nearly beheaded myself with the ceiling fan though .... sales guy yesterday told us some bit about releasing the coils or something? All I know is that I was supposed to walk on my knees on the bed. Had to settle for crawling on all fours. Don't know if that worked.

Can't post pics of the ratty box spring, since it's been carted away already. Penny would've been sooo disappointed in me, and I couldn't bear that.

Tracie, my next tour is another night shift, starting Tuesday night. Woot! I am working with "Dumber" next week though. I hate that. For those of you who don't know, I work with Dumb & Dumber (both are inter-changeable), Frick & Frack (more or less terms of endearment), RIP #1, RIP #2 (aka FUG), and soon to be RIP #3. My new form of entertainment at work is when Dumber complains to me about something Dumb screwed up. Ahhhh, if I didn't laugh, I'd cry. Since I am the only female on the console, I had urged my boss (also male, and for all intents and purposes RIP #4) for a female or gay male colleague. I tried not to pout when I didn't get my way with RIP #3. Oh well.

Congrats to Matt on passing his driver's test!

Ok maybe going a little nuts but went to pick up my meds and pharm said I know it says to take the steriods at bedtime but if you take then you will not be able to sleep because it with the antibotics will keep me up and just start them tomorrow morning :confused3

Wow I'm pooped!

Going to bed.

Hey Mac, are we using LEDs for our green lights?? Want to conserve energy.......if not we must switch over in the new place.....

you think so, you want us to be green........

heck, we have lights on 24 hours at our dump.
and all the tvs and puters on at the same time.

no one can ever say i have not supported the economy

Hey I could take the kids out of school a couple of days early for fall break and cover both weekends so I could see mac, Jodie & Mike, Janet & gang, & Tricia, Brad & the naked mohawk boys band. I may just have to work on this!

Night everyone! I am hitting the hay!

KEWL..........make the trips down to catch all the homies this october..

i have to tell you in advance, i sleep very little when i am in orlando

I've read everything, guys... I promise!

I have to say, before I forget...

Janet - The wording on the email is like this:

Aiming for some Disney fun? You can save 40% off per night, plus tax, at select Disney Value Resorts in a standard room. And there are other Resort room types available, including Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, at varying rates. Ask about them when you call to book your vacation!

So, I am looking at Value Resorts... either Movies or Pop, most likely. The Pop has the advantage of a separate bus and all that. The Movies would be strictly because of the theming. Joshua loved it the year that we stayed in the "Buzz & Woody hotel".

And I would, of course, get us to MNSSHP at least once. IF we make the trip. Do they have dates for MNSSHP somewhere? I checked the Disney site and couldn't find anything.

Mac - The sale dates for October don't start until the 19th and run through November 1st. :headache:

Lori - Black Dog was filmed near here. That is the only reason we watched it. Lots of stuff blows up, so it's not a total waste of 2 hours.

Marcie - Salsa on the ceiling? Sounds like a new band.

Todd - Congrats on the milestone! We seem to be hitting those around here lately.

Rose - Keep us in the loop about your dad. I hope things continue to improve on a daily basis for him.

Only had to pay the state $10. Feds didn't want anything. Good deal!

I know I've missed something or somebody, but that's all that my muddled brain can remember.

snap..........

forget the 40% sale, come anyway.

Morning all sorry wasn't on much yesterday but was feeling bad plus my DS's seemed to be fighting everytime I turned the corner and after spending hours at the emergency room last night it was almost midnight and didn't want to bug you homies with my problems and will try to be around a little more today.
Goodness sakes I can't wait for July :lmao: :lmao:

oh my goodness.............i hope you are doing better now.
i know you talked about not feeling well.

don't die on us. i haven't lost enough weight and there is no way in hell i can fit into my "black dress"
you have to get to universal first and have the vacay first.

Oh, I forgot to mention how very BRAVE our very own Janet was on the CB yesterday! You should've seen her post on a thread asking who should be nominated for president from the DIS. She posted that since the country was asking for change, she would nominate anyone from the Universal boards.

Priceless.

:rotfl:

i used your link and read that thread.
it is a hoot.

but you know, those tickets are fixed........
it's all about the politics.......

Twister! it's one of my favs, other than the preshow:goodvibes how lame is that?

Oh I hope not. That is my least favorite attraction. Must be because I don't want to see anything from Oklahoma while I am in my happy place.

eBayer still hasn't got back to me to confirm receipt of my payment:rolleyes1 may be back in the market for a calculator lol...wonder if the HS will start charging me interest...or send Guido to break my legs.

I voted!

Seen some posts about Patrick Swayze and was reading and came across this

LOS ANGELES(AP) Patrick Swayze's doctor is optimistic about his prognosis for battling pancreatic cancer, and the "Dirty Dancing" actor's upcoming cable pilot is still in contention to become a series.

With the writer's strike over, the A&E pilot "The Beast," starring Swayze as an unorthodox FBI agent, is being considered to be turned into a series by the cable network. If that happens, the "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" star hopes to continue to be part of the show, his representative Annett Wolf told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Swayze has been undergoing treatment for the disease, Wolf confirmed in a statement. The National Cancer Institute estimates there will be 37,680 new cases of pancreatic cancer in 2008 with 34,290 deaths in the U.S.; only five percent of patients live more than five years after being diagnosed.

"Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far," Swayze's physician Dr. George Fisher said in a statement released by Wolf. "All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic."

Wolf said Swayze, 55, shot "The Beast" pilot last December and isn't currently working on any new projects. A&E issued a statement Wednesday stating "The Beast" was still in contention to become one of the network's new original drama series and wished Swayze a speedy recovery.

Thanks for that update. I hope it all works out for him.

My fat butt is just sitting home waiting for our bed delivery. I had to clear a path for the movers to come in. Guess I'll wash some sheets so they're nice and fresh for the new bed.

Only downside to getting new bed so soon was that I didn't realize that Tempur Pedics were so heavy and we have to get center support for the frame. Ordered that today, but won't be here for another week - 10 days. Guess that won't kill the mattress, but we'll have to undo the bed once the support beams come, I guess. Nothing is ever easy.

Oh, and if I had any guts, I would show the pictures of the box spring in the guest bedroom (we are putting our mattress in the guest room and having them haul away the guest room mattress... which was the mattress set I bought for my first apartment in 1994 for a grand total of $412 brand new.). Anyway, every cat I've ever had liked to sleep inside that box spring. Yes, inside. They clawed off the bottom and would sleep inside. Each subsequent cat thought this was a GREAT idea, and created new and improved holes in which to enter the box spring to sleep. I'm going to be mortified when the movers lift that off the bed.

:headache: Well at least you have the new bed to sleep in tonight.

I didn't know if I ever posted pics of my guys when they were younger-er 'uns.

Nope, I have never seen those. Aren't those some of the most precious memories ever.

I know we got hooked on Ally's first trip to WDW. She was 2 1/2. We went to stake out a spot for the afternoon parade and picked a perfect spot. Ally had on a cute little Minnie sun dress and the Mickey & Minnie float stopped right in front of us. Minnie saw that dress, ignored every other kid that came up to her and walked straight over to Ally and danced with her the entire time she was off the float. The look on her face was priceless and we were hooked!

Think Marcie fainted yet when they told her how much to add a 16 year old to her auto insurance?:scared:

tricia, i copied this from another website that had the mnsshp dates listed.
i'm not sure if they are correct as last year they did not have tuesday as a mnsshp night in early october.

hmmm, i don't have a calendar in front of me...know they usually follow the same pattern as to "day" of the week.

Sunday (for us the 10/19) & Tuesday (10/21) = check!

i'm more concerned about HHN being offered on the Wednesday (10/22)...they did have it the week before Halloween then last year.

Is Universal as much of a creature of habit as the Mouse is?

Will they offer the cheap-o AP HHN tickets again this year?

Don't change that dial!popcorn::

i'm full of corn-pone today lol.

BTW, thanx for the support...i'd like to thank the Test Thread...

tricia - great pics! most babies i've seen that were approached by a charactar wound up screaming:confused3 . Makes me feel bad, i never took my 2 older DS when they were small (ex hated it & then broke after divorce till i pulled myself together). Let them tell it to the shrink. They did go to Myrtle Beach so many times they begged to go elsewhere.;)

St L - that is the high test stuff-yikes! be careful bro

Realized that the event i agreed to drive youngest DS & his bud to (a Wii Mario Smash Bros competition that begins @ 10:00 pm on Saturday) is THIS WEEKEND, not next & it's not @ the mall nearby...no gotta go an exit on the turnpike for that baby:rolleyes1 Then, stick around for the pre-sale of the game itself @ 12:01 am.

Forgot it was a time change day, forgot about having to head out of dodge early in the am for the RiverRats game up in the frozen tundra too. Oh, yes, a snow storm is supposed to hit Saturday too, 1/2 foot in Pittsburgh - Erie's in a snow belt & gets the lake effect too...a foot easy. It shall be an adventure:3dglasses

I gets to go to the eye dr. tomorrow am & get a visual field test & whatever else they decide to throw at me...i get such a :headache: from it...anybody else get them done? Have i mentioned that i have night blindness and get to drive back on the turnpike in the dark from the tournie? Least i won't have to deal with headlights coming the other way.

Hockey night in Pittsburgh, i'll be banished up to BR to watch idol...me & whatever animal i decide to drag with me.
