I know we discussed this before, but really the hours you mentioned are about what DH normally works?! :rotfl: Well, he normally leaves around 5:30 and gets home around 5:30, so I guess it doesn't sound quite as long to me. Your schedule sounds a whole lot worse than his does!

My DH has a very regulated work schedule....(because he is 1st shift and then the company has a 2nd and 3rd shift too). He works M-F 7:15am-3:45pm and that is it. I can "bank" on those hours. He actually had a job opportunity in the company about 8 years ago...but turned it down....too much traveling and he wanted to be 'home' for his 'new' son :teeth: ...I couldn't have a husband that traveled a lot for work.... just couldn't :sad2:

As for me, my schedule is: work 6 days a week....3 are varied hours....depending how busy I am at the hair salon...some days I can work 3 hours, or 6 or 10...really depends on time of year and each day.

hope all who are going to the motherland at the same time as us will ignore the bean tantrums and not out me as a bad mommy.

I did get the go ahead for a "reasonable"airfare for each of us :confused3 dh told me @ 170 per....roundtrip - hmmmmmm have some searching to do tomorrow

there is so much else - but will wait until coffee-clear-head tomorrow!! :lmao:

im ok evry1 n i prmse 2 post mre ofen and i miss u all

:lmao: gotta luv pui's
Glad you were able to get the 'ok' to find some air....it's really hard with 3 kids, BUT, that is money well spent....I'd fly over drive ANY day! Here's hoping you find something good :wizard:
And....I think Jodie is the only one you need to worry about on vacay....I would LOVE a pic of Jodie and the Beans....kind of her "adopted" children  Make sure you get one of those :thumbsup2

It is a nice morning here. I took a shower outside this morning and it felt great.

I got the results from my sleep test and I have severe apnea. Severe?, I asked the Dr. and he said, "Severe!" I have an episode about once per minute so I never or rarely reach the REM stage.

I'm so very glad you got to take a shower outside....in FEBRUARY.... I DARE YA to come HERE and do it

I hope the "mask" route works for you and you don't need the surgery.....but, it helps to KNOW what's going on.... then, they can work on fixing it! I wish you luck :wizard:

My DD has a nun for art class and well I think the kids are :scared1: scared of her . My daughter has never been to Catholic school before HS so it was a really big adjustment to see Nuns in the school.
Does anyone remember in Catholic grammer school getting hit with a ruler on the nuckles ? :scared: . That is child abuse now boy have times changed .
I had a lot of Penguins like that in my 10 years (the last 10, not the 1st 10) of Catholic School, for some reason I was always getting smacked with a ruler, or detention, hmmm.....???:confused3

Joshua went to school today in pants that are a good 2 inches too short. It was that or leave him in pajamas, so I hope we haven't reached the "make fun of the unfashionable" age yet.

Nope...you're good .... still in kindergarten :thumbsup2 (tell ya the truth, I get more upset over what he looks like, far as clothes, shoes, hair, etc...than HE does! )

Quite. I wish I had a decent telescope to have seen it better. Binoculars worked nicely, though.

:headache: crap....we have one and i forgot! Then again, that's DH's department and he was in bed tryin to get over whatever it is we have...

Here's a picture of Joshua from Valentine's day. He is showing off his present. He got a tin of Tony Stewart chocolate cars.
TSValentines.jpg

favorite things...chocolate and cars :goodvibes ....where's Daniel's pic? Don't discriminate
4.gif

it's payday, i'm out of nearly everything; must head to store with all the other frootloops...we've got a storm coming...run for your lives.

that's called "gotta go get french toast stuff" remember?

I called Best Buy yesterday about my other computer, since I had not heard from them. They said it was ready, couldn't tell me why they didn't call. :headache: They had to replace the hard drive again. Now they are saying the warranty replaces the computer the 4th time something goes wrong with it not the 3rd. Funny, when I took it in they said 3rd?:confused3 Guess I will be talking to a manager about it when I go to pick it up.

Did I ever mention that the day I took it in the stupid power cord shocked me? Well the previous time it was worked on they had given me a "new" power cord for it and it started having problems. Ended up with the wires showing!

I'd be taking that paperwork that says "3" into them and demanding a replacement ....AND mentioning you keep getting shocked and have dangerous, exposed wires.... maybe wouldn't hurt to ask for a manager and drop the 'sue' word or 'television exposure' words :rolleyes1 That is absolutely ridiculous what they are putting you through...and they really don't care. You're under warranty and they already got your money  (This is yet another reason my DH will NOT buy big ticket items from BB....return policy and service sux  ). Next time you are ready to buy a new computer, try newegg dot com....we've gotten 2 from there and never had ANY problems with either ;)

Ya know.... There's easier ways of earning brownie points with the hubby.

I know...but we were/are sick :(

We just got that over with last weekend. It started as a couples party. Then only my son's & one of his friend's girlfriends (who is also my son's friend) could come. Turned out my DS's gf got really sick w/ a kidney infection & couldn't come. So, we ended up with one girl & 7 boys. 4 boys spent the night. That was enough!

 Wonder how 'out of place' the 1 girl felt? That was a shame most couldn't make it...but somehow I think your son had a good time anyhows ;)

Trying to figure out what to tell DS when he gets home cause he is expecting to get more for his Bday today and we already bought and gave him a playstation 3 extra contoler and simpson game so after all that it cost over $500.00 and DW said we need to get him something later on:confused3 Hello $500.00 darlin:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I know it's too late....but, you tell him "We got you that PS3 and games and stuff that you are SO enjoying" ;) That'd be MORE than enuf in my book...... and...i know...sometimes it's hard to NOT spoil 'em :headache:

Yeah so I'm new to posting in here - but I just want to write somewhere how antsy I'm getting for my upcoming trip :hyper:

We visit a lot during the year, but this time we're staying on-site (instead of at my mother's house) and I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT

 Welcome to our home. Lawrence will move over and make room for you on the couch :goodvibes

Here ya go:

Busch Gardens/ Adventure Island - 15 min.
WDW- 1 hr.
UO - 1 hr. 15 min.

Gulf Coast - 45 min.
Atlantic - 2 hrs. or less

Anything else you like to do? We may have that too. Yes, I love where I live! :sunny:

That's it!!!! I am moving to Tammy's!

We get Married March 1st

Then we're off the next day to Disney from 3/2 - 3/11

Then 3/11 - 3/14 at RPR

The FI keeps saying "Is it bad that I'm more excited about the honeymoon than anything?" - I seriously have to laugh cause I share his sentiments :rotfl:

NINE MORE DAYS :hyper:

Eh...I'd be more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding too.... :rolleyes1 Congrats! Have a great time!!!!

I LOVE this cake!!! I want one of these on my birthday ;)

Testing my new siggie!

Okay, that didn't work! :( How do I get one beside the other? I may have to delete the heart.

In the text, eliminate the spaces....let the text 'run all together'....then, things will be "beside" each other, not on the next line... :thumbsup2

I totally understand. I always tell people to save on the wedding, & splurge on the honeymoon. The wedding only last a few hours, after all. The honeymoon memories last forever. :teeth: Okay, you're wedding memories will last forever too, but it's over so fast, it's like a whirlwind in your mind. The honeymoon is when you get to relax & begin enjoying your new life together. :lovestruc

I totally see your point, and, quite frankly, happen to agree! ::yes::

Where in the heck is that Tag Fairy?!!!!!

Just a quick check in to say HOWDY DOOOOOOOODY!!!!!!

I don't know...but they are missing a LOT of good ones over here lately! :confused3

btw...did you ever decide on a new car yet?

I went out a few mins ago took a step and feet flew out from underneath me and landed on my back and hit my noggin:scared1: so now hurting all over but at least DW (Mary Eva) is home early and safe.:woohoo:

 :wizard: glad you weren't 'seriously' hurt

DH got a Dale Jr. one.

And, what did the 'new and improved' YOU get??? :confused3

i got the best of BOTH worlds......CHOCOLATE ROSES :goodvibes

No, but if it rains hard enough, you can water ski in the retention pond behind the house. :rotfl:

 Now THAT would be an interesting thing to see

Has anyone read Thinner?

Hopefully you're sitting if you're reading this, but yeah...I actually read THAT book....years ago....it was my boyfriend's at the time (before DH)...tells ya HOW long ago :rolleyes1 I remember I enjoyed it :thumbsup2

Ok here is a stupid question .. I have never had a bed with bed rails and a footboard so do I use the bed skirt with this set or not?? I am wondering how it is going to look when I put it on . :confused3

I then get to run into the Christmas Tree store. . That is a great junk store anyone else hooked on the junk in there?

sorry...can't help ya with the bedskirt thing...don't have one we have a hardside waterbed :teeth:

I've never heard of "Christmas Tree" store :confused3

Hey Homies!!!
No time to "ketchup," I'm busy packing....I wanted to drop in and let you know that I had a surprise last minute very short trip sprung on me and we'll be back extremely late Sunday night or early Monday morning...I'll fill you in Monday night. I hope everything goes well!!!!

 LUCKY Alison :woohoo: Get's to go "home" early.... have a fab trip!!!!

I went to DL & DCA this past Sept. My TR may still be up. It's worth checking out.

::yes:: it was a good tr! ;)

Heading to Jersey in the morning and watchin the bro swim until late Sunday night.....

Don't know if I will have internet access so I am wishing everyone a good weekend and I'll catch up with you on Monday!!!

Be careful to anyone who is getting the storm!!

Good luck to bro! Be safe in your travels! Hope to see pix!

i have never been to DL or to UO on the west coast.
i want to do both.

since i go solo on my vacays to the darkside and motherland, i would hope i could meet up with someone for the CA trip when i plan it.

put me on your list penny.
i'll stalk you and mr penny so i don't have to be alone when i go there.:rolleyes1

I'm sure Janet would have room for you in June

and............will be a happy camper when the email notifications begin again for the thread..............popcorn::

::yes:: ....what IS UP with that....again?? :headache: :sad2:

2 hour delay here today, think this kicks us into the 2nd full makeup day (evidently 3 delays = 1 day:confused3 )

st L, that's it...that's where i remember Gage from! The absolutely most disturbing thing i've ever read (wanted to stop myself-just couldn't)...then the subsequent dream sequence...he's a messed up guy-yet a great read.:upsidedow The Stand is another fantastic pick. I thought the Cell, while not great; sure better than the drivel he had started to kick out-i quit reading him for a few years. Think his accident broke his writers block perhaps?

metro - did you read the bachman books/short stories mostly as i recall. Then there were the books he took turns writing a chapter with other famous author (brain is failing me - they were ok, sorta fun to try & figure out who wrote what). Didn't read the last "dark tower" book either (really like that series). What was the book where the alien thing landed in the woods-another goodie.

Penny - Rarely, do the movies do Kings books justice. In IT, the sewer sequences were enough for me to sleep with the light on:guilty: ps i hate clowns (except the BW one lol), pennywise is another sick masterpiece.

jodie - when are u sailing, hopefully not on that ship unless you have a bucket. did you ever see this pic?
cruise%20ship%20big%20wave.JPG

made the rounds awhile ago...evidently a hoax (of course they picked on Carnival lol)

didja all forget i'm going to DL in june? :wizard: ridiculously scared (tried to get out of, DH persisted we go) since it's a longer flight, unfamiliar territory:confused:

lori - another sickie, sorry to hear

mary - i only went for a few years, my older 2 DS did the dew;) ; at that point they didn't beat them anymore (lots of structure though & my kids benefited from it) Quite a change in teaching methods when the older 2 hit public school. imo the whole warm & fuzzy/praise non-special needs kids to the hilt for knowledge they shoud be expected to know is bizzare:confused3 Think it makes them work less harder since they think they are already smart enough? Know they continually revamp teaching methods, out district had miserable test scores in the middle schools. they did a mass shuffling of teachers out of that level to our K-3 level, if they don't step it up they're going to lose state funding this year.:sad2: maybe they'll go back to the basics that had worked before.

Funny thing was many of the nuns segued to the public school system once the diociese closed the parochial school & were now in the jr. HS still brandishing their weapons of choice (drumsticks) think just the knowledge of what they were capable of kept the peeps in line.

ps i walk on water in my house today...finally scored Penguin Tix for DH & Jr.:woohoo: :dance3: least i'll get out of cooking on sunday lol

Good Morning to You Fletch (and all the homies)!

Going to go back and catch up a bit.

:)

Hey Jennifer :wave2: .....wassup??

Morning...glad it's Friday...finally!

Yep! Gots me a SNOW DAY! :cool1:

who is going to shovel for me ??

sorry....I'm home....I haveta shovel here :headache:

.... when I got home and checked it out and found out I almost had a back tire flat:scared1: still trying to figure that one out nothing in the tire and almost brand new.:headache: :rolleyes1

So?? What happened?? :confused3

And, oh, I'll just share this little tidbit ... do you know how most people swarm the grocery stores the day before bad weather is due? You know those days where you can't find a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk? I'd like to introduce you to the Mike method of insuring we have enough food in the house in the event of a blizzard: "I'm having Chinese delivered tonight so we have food for tomorrow since that heats up well. Do you want a #36 or 47 or both?"

:rotfl2: Guess Mike isn't "into" the 'french toast' thing, huh? :rolleyes1

Today is Family Day for Joshua's class at school (each class gets a different Friday). I'm about to go join in the festivities, so I won't be around until a little later.

Everyone have a good Friday!

Glad you are comin' out of whatever hit you....looking forward to hearing about "family day"....we never had those :confused3

I really was looking forward to them delivering my Sleep Number Bed today but the DAM SNOW is now making them not deliever till Thursday
 sorry.... I know how ya feel (so does Jodie)....NO snow ALL winter until the ONE time you have a 'plan'.... :sad2: Think positive....weekends go fast, before you know it, it'll be Monday...then just a couple days to go....

Allison - Dang it! Can't believe you are going out of town. I was coming for my margaritta's this weekend!

On my way out the door to take Mikey to the doctor. He has strep now.

I was going with you for margaritas :guilty: ...oh well.....guess we'll just have to fly to the motherland and have them with her at MARGARITAVILLE!

Did Mikey get the strep from Ally? or Madie? :sad2: Hope he gets the antibiotics he needs and starts feeling better.... :grouphug:

I had a lot of Penguins like that in my 10 years (the last 10, not the 1st 10) of Catholic School, for some reason I was always getting smacked with a ruler, or detention, hmmm.....???:confused3

Hmmmmm... :scratchin .....you weren't a troublemaker, were ya? :rolleyes1

barb - teach the boy to weild a shove, good life skill & cardio training;) ; promise him a snowball battle afterward:banana:

uh....he doesn't have any boots :headache:

It's okay....I don't mind doing it :rolleyes1
my guys grew out of theirs frequently too:confused3 ; i'd stick an extra few pair of socks on them/baggies & stick them in either an old pair of mine of pa's...see, i am a meanie. Always told them, you're sled riding...it's not a fashion show.:rotfl: poor babies, they're scarred for life

ps i'm heading out too, out of rock salt so i've got to shovel

heave ho--use the knees, not the back...if i'm not back on i had a heart attack...scatter my ashes in the MK, preferrably in the HM.:thumbsup2

Lucky you!!! I want a surprise like that! I can't wait to hear all the details. :listen: On 2nd thought, if it was a surprise from your DH for just the 2 of you, I may not want to hear ALL the details.

So if we are all moving I really want to go to South Carolina. I have a very good friend that moved form NYC to SC and well Myrtle Beach is a great to visit but would be great to live in next to my friend . I also would love to go live in FLA because well DAY TRIPS TO USF/IOA and WDW with the kid. So that is my Vote.

No, no, not SC. We're going with Florida, remember? :sunny:

[/SIZE]

I saw some Carnival pics very similar to that, & they weren't fakes. I think they were taken by the Coast Guard, when they were relocating to Texas to house workers & people displaced by Katrina. (Don't quote me on the details. My memory stinks! I have seen the pics though. :o) There wasn't any guests on the ship(s) (can't remember :sad2:) at the time.

Guess Mike isn't "into" the 'french toast' thing, huh?

So....... what's up with the "french toast" thing? Don't ya just luv havin' to fill me in all the time. :rolleyes1

 to everyone I missed!

So....... what's up with the "french toast" thing? Don't ya just luv havin' to fill me in all the time. :rolleyes1

Barb brought it to our attention that when a storm is in the forecast, it makes people crave french toast. At least, we think it makes people crave french toast, because they drop everything and run to the store to buy milk, eggs, and bread.

And french toast must give some people tummy issues because many of them buy toilet paper too. :confused3
