I babysit two year old twin boys every Monday from 8-4, and let me tell you, it is definitely interesting. We had a nice pooping episode in the bathtub last week and they quite enjoyed watching it go down the drain (after I quickly hauled their nekkid little butts out of the tub). We even made up a song about it! "Oh where, oh where, has Adam's poop gone? Oh where oh where can it be". They sang it all day much to my amusement. I'm sure their Mommy is still trying to figure out why they are singing about poop.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am in the mood for IHOP pancakes. that is not good.
with syrup and bacon.

Yum!

keep a good thought this week that Todd will have good luck with that shelter place! :grouphug:

I am! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I can tell you I am 41 now. I have almost no clue as to who is in for the grammy awards. 20 years ago, i had their music. now it is like "who is that and what the heck kinda music are they playing"?
Penny - I feel the same way (42). I scan the nominees and am like who???? Never heard of the artists or the songs. I haven't watched the Grammys since I don't know when.

And I am 43 and have no clue, but then again I don't care either. They pull to much crap at those shows for me to watch.

I don't have any problems :confused3

Raven....what connects you to the internet?

Thats cause you're special.

I have done my best to catch up here, you peeps sure can yak :)

I came down with some real bad bronchitis, and luckily got in to see my doc on Friday. But I had to do 2 out of town sound jobs witch lasted 12 hours each during this time, I am exhausted now. Trying to keep up with this thread is now my 4th job. Hope everyone is well, I am getting better, no more coughing up brown lumpy stuff  , thank God, that was awful, especially while on the job. I'll be hanging around, trying to keep up with you all ;)

So sorry you have been a sickie. Glad you are starting to feel better.

But I have to ask where are those priorities? Shouldn't we be your first job????;)

And I am caught up!

Okay....I'm ketchuped.....

The party went well.....the boys had a blast!!!

I played the first laser tag game (individual) with them...but not the second (played teams). It was really cool. You put on a vest with flashing lights at the center, the back and the shoulders...which is where other people aim at you. If you're hit, you're down 5 seconds...can't shoot or be shot. I wasn't even trying and came in 4th :headache: They have a huge room that is pretty dark with fog in it (so you can see your laser beam) and walls and mirrors. I found myself a corner where I could see the kids (but too dark to see faces and I didn't know who had what 'codename'....as it will tell you on your gun who hit you) coming from aside of me and in front of me. Same corner had a wall in front of me (think = I was "around the corner") with some "cut out" spots toward the top of the wall....MAJOR advantage to being tall....I just tippy-toed and shot thru the opening DOWN on my unsuspecting victims  Best part? I usually missed and then they'd run around the corner and get me :headache: All in all...a fun afternoon. Glad we choose the early time...just as we were packing up to leave, the power went out in the building and even the restaurant next door's too  They moved one party table out of the party room into the front of the store where there was sunlight coming in. Yep...glad we were leaving.... (Will post pix soon....)

As for Bubba...once his buddies arrived, he started feeling better. The fever hasn't come back today, and for as much running as he's done, he really hasn't been coughing. Altho, in better spirits now...I think he is losing his voice   This is kind of a new thing for him and he gets annoyed when he can't talk loud enough to be heard :rolleyes1

As for me....I think he gave me whatever he had....as I feel like I'm getting it. :headache: (that's okay...I rather ME than him :thumbsup2 )

I just posted on the thread someone started on the uni side about Kelly's book. :rolleyes1

I would post a before picture but I am totally embarrassed of my MESS in my so called master bedroom . So I will only post after shots :lmao: .

I will let all who are intrested in knowing about the sleep number bed how it is after we sleep in it a few nights . i can't wait till after everything is done. I was told by the sleepnumber people it takes a few weeks to adjust to the numbers . i am really sure it can't be any worse then what I am sleeping on now. After 3 kids and weight gain my mattress looks like a mountain range :lmao: :rotfl: . One side for him and one for me and a mountain in the middle .

Going to work in the morning :teacher: grade 3 . Not so bad but it is the 100th day of school so there may be a party so it might get a little crazy :scared1: .

Of caurse there is bowling after school and my DH is going to tutor a student so it all falls on mom to do the crazy driving around . :drive: . I am going to go to bed now . Yes ready for sleep at 8:10 at night it is a very sad life. i remember the days of going out at 10 PM. Now I am lucky if I even see 10 PM at night .

I was going to ask about Bubba and the party but got sidetracked with dinner.

Glad he is feeling better but sad that you are getting it now. I know how he feels about not being able to talk right. Poor guy! Hope you don't really get it.

Sounds like the party was a huge success!:cool1:

You mean you were caught up :lmao:

I knew you would be along with birthday story. And I sure knew I wouldn't stay caught up.

Well...my guess is, if your priority is making money, and they don't pay us to DIS....then, we aren't a priority :confused3

Oh, okay. I understand now. We can at least pretend, can't we?

I just posted on the thread someone started on the uni side about Kelly's book. :rolleyes1

I'll go check it out.

C'mon....post the before pic...we need to compare it to something.....

We don't have mountain ranges in our bed.... we 'surf' :teeth:

Glad the party was a success! Sounds like you had as much fun as Bubba and the boys! :goodvibes

For the money we spent on this party, (more than a car payment for a month!), oh yeah... I was having SOME fun! (can't be all getting drinks and pizza and such... :sad2: )

btw, Jodie...how DID date night go? ;)

Glad he is feeling better but sad that you are getting it now. I know how he feels about not being able to talk right. Poor guy! Hope you don't really get it.

That's right...you lost your voice not too long ago....

It's funny to hear him 'whisper'

Guess there won't be much talking at soccer tomorrow night...if he has no voice?

I watched part of the grammy awards.
really.
i am now back here.
guess I saw enough.

came by to tuck y'all in

hope all the sickies feel better pronto

my glasses fell apart today, need to ge them fixed this week; can't see well outta old pair - if posts are weird for a while it's cause i can't proof them lol

tricia - DS said his guy came in #2 in qualifier (evidently a good thing - pole postion?) I just get the look when i ask race questions @ home, hope to get a basic overview this race season;)

barb - surely, i've trotted out the DS timeline of doom before?
*concussion #1 football
*hit by lightening (or shall i say the metal chain link fence he was hanging on while waiting for baseball game weather delay was hit); all the while I was @ another field miles away with youngest DS for teeball game.
*meningitus
*concussion #2 football
*hit & run while on bike from behind, witnesses said the guy never looked back
*persistent staph infection in leg where he got gouged by another players spikes, turned into cellulitus?; months of antibiotics & frequent hospitalization; resolved fully
*temporary paralysis from neck down during football game, he got speared; full function regained within hours
*passenger in car which flipped over, necessitating a life flight to hospital, nothing major - just kept him overnight
(there were several broken bones & another minor concussion i'm not sure where to insert in the list:rolleyes1 )
now, as a policeman; i just pray to God that his "good luck" will hold:wizard:

Its supposed to be be -20 tomorrow am (assume they're factoring wind chill:scared1: ) hope they delay or cancel skool.

I was hoping to see some Bubba party pics, but I am fading fast.

We did a lot of outdoor stuff today, since the weather was so nice. Windy, but nice.

Janet - Pole Position is the fastest qualifying time, which means they start on the front row, inside. Second place starts front row, outside. The pole winner for Daytona was Jimmie Johnson, but Michael Waltrip (your son's guy) came in second.

Okay, I'm fading really fast now. I'm off to bed guys. Night.

Evening folks!

Haven't been around this weekend but....

SWIM SEASON IS OVER! :woohoo:

We ended on a high note, and went away with no regrets.

I will be able to return to my home in daylight for the first time since Sept.!!!!

Spring really is coming!

Well...my guess is, if your priority is making money, and they don't pay us to DIS

And what's up with that?! :confused3

Not so bad but it is the 100th day of school so there may be a party so it might get a little crazy :scared1: .

Night ,Night

Hey - we had OUR 100th day of school on Friday - guess we're a day ahead of you guys!

And I'm the same way! 9pm and we're pushing it on being awake! Speaking of which, it's 9:13 here so I guess it's time to get in bed! Catch you all later!

first...without glasses....post looks good janet.... :thumbsup2 (you are just falling apart left and right out there, ain'tcha?)

With your list (thanks for splainin' DS lightening hit ;) ), i count 6 lives....he's got 3 left! :rotfl2: Seriously....the boy DOES have some good luck....maybe not a coincidence him becoming law enforcement? :confused3

I actually read in the Pottstown paper yesterday about a local lady who has some kind of 'sanitation' machine for sports equipment... :confused3 Because equipment (like hockey pants) doesn't dry out thoroughly or enough, bacteria lingers and can get into cuts and make ya sick.... It was a good idea and pretty interesting I thot.....

I agree with the wind....HEY JANET! QUIT SENDING THE WINDY COLD TO ME......I DON'T WANT IT EITHER!

:rotfl:

Weather said it's 14 here and with the wind chill feels like -5 .... Not that it holds a candle to mac or marcie....but, that's pretty cold for us here in the mountains :rolleyes1

That's okay....i'm sorry....i get his pix up tomorrow. I don't blame you for being outside today with the nice weather....heck, I would be afraid to open an umbrella out ther today/tonite :scared: ...might fly away like Mary!!! :rotfl2:

I know what 'pole position qualifying' is....but that doesn't have anything to do with the 'shootout' thing yesterday, right?

Nite Marcie!

I'm outta here....

Long weekend and day...and now fighting Bubba's cold :headache:

Cya's tomorrow.....

Will get those pix up tomorrow.....

Nite!

I did too....but I think phamton got him (?) all straightened out :thumbsup2

Me too! So how's the surfing been lately? Glad you got to enjoy the party too. They do get expensive.

That's right...you lost your voice not too long ago....

It's funny to hear him 'whisper'

Guess there won't be much talking at soccer tomorrow night...if he has no voice?

Actually it happens every year. When I worked for Xerox it would last 4 -5 months every year. I think it was a reaction to fumes from the machines. It isn't as bad now but I still loose it every year. Actually whispering is worse, uses the vocal cords in a different way (according to a doctor I visited once when it was really bad). He is better off trying to stay completely quiet for a while, maybe use a note pad & pen.

I watched part of the grammy awards.
really.
i am now back here.
guess I saw enough.

We are probably more entertaining! ;)

my glasses fell apart today, need to ge them fixed this week; can't see well outta old pair - if posts are weird for a while it's cause i can't proof them lol

You have told us some but I don't remember the lightning strike, meningitis or bad staph - all must have been very scary for you & him.

Those temps are just too much. I would keep mine home even if they didn't cancel.
