mr mac left around 4:30 this morning to go north.
he is up at fish creek which is near sturgeon bay to ski for the weekend.

more snow there than here and a change of scenery for him.
he has a motel room for tonight and will ski more on sunday before he comes home.

solo trip....or with the guys? Why didn't you go too?

i told myself i would get up early today and clean the dining room, kitchen and family room.

well, after 7 cups of coffee, i made my way to the computer and haven't left it yet.

oh well....best laid plans... I've done that plenty of times

My ma's orange too; family nearly disowned her when she entered into a mixed marriage...they weren't sure which was worse...the fact that pa was catholic or slovak times have sure changed

I don't know what it is about the 'older' folk Does it 'really' matter?? If you're happy and in love, what difference does nationality or religion really make?

trying to clear the dining room table.
it has become a catch all for all mail not opened and anything i want to save such as coupons, sales flyers, etc.

yep....that's our kitchen table...I think every household has at least 1 place for stuff like that......

....found a kewl coupon for kohls that expired last weekend...........

I've done that! I HATE that!

and can i call you at midnight if i get too scared to sleep from watching Saw?

Quick fly by....
Just want to let you know that a GIRL called for my son this afternoon!
We couldn't believe it. This is the first phone call from any classmates he has ever gotten. And a GIRL calls
Matthew is in 5th grade and high-functioning autism. Not sure if the girl that called knows about Matthew's autism, as it isn't real prevalent at school.
The girl that called, Matthew says he doesn't think he knows her, so we are guessing it is someone from school. I don't think it is from his classroom b/c I couldn't find her name in the classroom photo.
I tried to get DH to get on the other phone to listen in on the conversation, but he wouldn't do it DH says the call should be private. I'm like, "no it shouldn't be private". Well, I was right there with Matthew, helping him to hold up the phone b/c he doesn't hold the phone up to his ear all the time. The only thing Matthew remembers that the girl said was she read a book he helped write and she wants a playdate with him sometime We don't have caller ID, so I can't trace the call.
Ok, nervous mom here

I know all the kids at school saw Matthew perform in the 5/6 grade program, so I'm guessing the girl may have been smitten when she saw him in the program DH is kinda thrilled about this and I'm like this

Marcie- I now see how you are nervous about your 15 yr old with the girlfriend at times.

So...ya know what sux? I had to get a new cellphone today My other one works, but has no screen? It's just blank. UGH....so, I went and bought another phone, and transferred my number....DH got me all set up Only problem is, I've lost all my contacts Started putting numbers back in for those I knew....but, other's cell numbers...I don't have... gotta start fresh again

I like the phone and all....but, this is annoying.....

No my day started way before 11:16 am and so far I aired up tire with one of those air pumps that you plug into your cars cigg lighter and so far its stay up

he ski's, snow shoes, cat skii's and snow activities but NO snow mobiles.
he can't stand them.

it is not my idea of having a good time.

aw barb that sux BIG TIME, did you have to pay full price for new phone ...we've always been "lucky" enough to just be able to extend the current contract & get a relative freebie...shocking how much they cost.

mac - i lasted 5 min thru Saw...that is some sick poop my older 2 DSs luv it. Did u ever see Vincent Price's Last Man on Earth? Old black & white, one my favs...convinced DH to watch it (he doesn't do scary movies) and he had nightmares..hee-hee.

don't get the appeal of paying to go anywhere cold either

St L - glad to hear tire is holding. Thought you'd get a kick out of this as a driver, DH lost back on drump truck, fifth wheel slid. He was pulling out & all was fine, until he felt a huge boom...it slid all the way into the cab. He said he had it pinned down, all the bells & whistles as he always did. Work sent out the safety guys...they said maintenance put too much grease on it & it worked it's way out so he wasn't to blame...weird though...could've been a big deal if it happened out on the highway.

He's only 9 months. . . so I fed him carrots, bananas and juice. He gets packed all over the place with 3 aunts hovering over him! My dd said to let him play on the floor instead of carrying him around. . . yeah, whatever. . . .as soon as they walked out the door, we were holding him. I have gramma's perogative.

do they still make zwyback buiscuts? my sons loved them and another type i think gerber made-got them all gooey-good for teething as I recall.

remember my older 2 DSs always sneaking the jars of hawaiian delight; they thought it delish - i thought it smelled like vitamins ; never tasted any of the stuff

plenty of time to stuff him full of junk food later!

Our cellphones are not under 'contract'....it only cost me $15 to get another phone..... (and i like the design better than my old one)....it's just i had a lot of contact info and such on my phone....now, i haveta start over

i agree newborns smell sweet.
but i'm not looking forwards to that happening anytime soon for us.

only 1 of mine would consider having a family.

it only took me 7 hours to clear the dining room table.
some of the stuff i put on the counter and now have to think how to clear that off.


i get distracted so easily.............


just waiting for son to wake up so i can do dinner.
