Good Morning Vietnam! (Sorry, couldn't resist. Everytime I see someone post Good Morning that movie comes to mind.)

Lori, that water looks ewwww. It makes me want to get one of those machines though. I bet you'd feel much better, after getting all the toxins out of your system.

agree that park hoppers are totally unnecessary and that alone is a savings of $300. Leave out the Water park option and that is another $270. I may have those backwards but together they add up to $570 + tax. That would pay for UO tickets for the 6 of them .

Ditto! We would never go to WDW w/o the park hopping option, but we've been so many times we no longer tour commando style. I don't think park hopping is as important for a 1st visit.

If the decision were mine, I'd skip KSC & SW & go to UO. We think SW's okay for an occasional visit, but would never choose to go there over UO. If they're set on KSC, I'd forgo park hopping at WDW & SW to visit UO.

Hey Marcie I keep forgetting to tell you this. If it is 25 here and the wind is not blowing that would not be cold to me either. So it really isn't that strange. Or is it?:confused3 :confused3 Maybe I'm just strange.

Sorry, but it is a bit strange. ;) I still luv ya though.

Carol was supposed to start her first round of chemo yesterday, but she woke up with the flu. Mom has had it for 2 WEEKS, so it is no big surprise. Deb got it last week, now Carol. She called her doctor, who phoned her in an antibiotic and such. I hope she shakes it quickly so they don't have to postpone the chemo again.

If anything good came from it, Mom was finally motivated to go to the doctor yesterday and get something to get rid of hers. She's got an antibiotic, cough syrup, nasal spray and eye drops. Why eye drops? Oh, it turns out she has pink eye too. :sad2:

Is Carol your sister? This is yet another subject I'm lost on. Sorry she's having such a rough time. :(

Well gang...the weekend is finally here! It was close to 86 today and pretty humid...felt like April.

don't for one second believe i don't go back and read everything mister.......
:rolleyes1

Morning Homies!

It is a beautiful day here. Too bad I don't feel up to enjoying it yet. I still have to catch up on laundry, including washing all the bedding now that we are all on the mend. I don't want to sleep in the germ beds any more.

I'm hoping to channel the boys energy somehow. Since Daniel just dumped an entire box of legos on the floor, I'd better think of something quick.

Are you sure that stapling his pants to the deck out back isn't an option?
:confused3

if it rains, then you don't have to deal with a bath tonight for him.
sounds like a plan to me. :goodvibes

My favorite subject. . . I bought a new recipe book. . Fix it and Forget it Lightly. We haven't had red meat in 7 weeks and I thought I might find something decent.

So, this morning I've got 3 crockpots working :scared1: :rolleyes1

One for the kids. . .one for me n dh. . and a little one that held the left over stuff that wouldn't fit in mine. :thumbsup2 Can't waste anything . . .

So basically they are variations of diet lean ground beef, potatoes, celery, carrots, onion, corn and some cream of soup. . . that's for the kids. . . all of the above plus some whole stewed tomatoes and some low sodium tomato soup in ours. I added some fresh garlic to all, plugged them in and we will see what we have around 5:00 tonight. Kids don't like too much onion or the tomatoes, so that's why I made two crocks. .plus now we will have plent of left overs to plug in and heat up tomorrow. . . add a salad, some crusty french bread (12 grain whole wheat for me) and. . .voila. . . something different than roasted chicken and steamed veggies, which is what we eat 3 nights a week. . . at least in some variety.

My cook it lightly crockpot book has several recipes for noodlie type dishes. . .I think there's one for chicken, beef, pork and seafood. I've not tried any of them though. Gotta love crock pot cooking :thumbsup2

That sounds like a great book! I'll have to look for it. :thumbsup2

fnally did the ketchup-ing and find out i am by my lonesome here.

penny, put 2 down for the cardinals. red birds have wendy and me rooting for them.
now when it comes to my family, one is a die hard cub fan, one is a fighting to the end white sox fan and the other 2 are milwaukee fans..........

when Kimmie sent off the newest holiday shamrock, i passed it on to a few of the homies.

if anyone has sent one to me, and i have 5 pm's of them to post, sorry, i won't be posting.

i wear ORANGE...............name was McRaven and we don't do green....

mr mac left around 4:30 this morning to go north.
he is up at fish creek which is near sturgeon bay to ski for the weekend.

more snow there than here and a change of scenery for him.
he has a motel room for tonight and will ski more on sunday before he comes home.

i get the big bed to myself tonight. :woohoo:
but then, 2 cats will climb in during the night and i won't be able to sleep well with them.

always afraid i'll roll over on one of them and squash them.....

i told myself i would get up early today and clean the dining room, kitchen and family room.

well, after 7 cups of coffee, i made my way to the computer and haven't left it yet.

Our table is like that too. There is Valentine candy, assorted mail, jackets, and goodness knows what else buried on it.

One of these days I'll clean it off.

You would think I like watching those type of movies since I am a fan of stephen king books but some of those movies scare the you know what out of me:scared1: and oldest DS will not even come in the room when I put The stand in the dvd player:lmao: :lmao:

Will have to tell you about our American Idol pool at work. :) Jennifer

Okay...whenever you're ready....

DH is in a "Survivor" pool at work...each person got a "fan" and a "fave"....so far, so good :thumbsup2

Lori - I cannot get over those pictures I am afraid to think what would come out of me :lmao:

....what else?? :confused3 COFFEE!!! ;)

tricia and barb - hope that you guys are feeling better.....hope the sickies don't find thier way here again either

Thanks...I think we are back to normal.... whatever "normal" is :rotfl2:

Have you found any airfare yet??

Are you sure that stapling his pants to the deck out back isn't an option? :confused3

Of course!! You most certainly CAN staple his pants to the back deck ::yes:: .....you just can't leave him IN them! :rolleyes1

Mikey did say that his knees, legs and shoulders weren't hurting him like they usually do. During baseball he is always hurting so that was a big plus! May have to keep one of those machines here.

So...the more often they do it, the less "dirty" the water should be :confused3 Like I mentioned before, it can't hurt to do it.....and he is feeling better....bonus! :thumbsup2

Carol was supposed to start her first round of chemo yesterday, but she woke up with the flu. Mom has had it for 2 WEEKS, so it is no big surprise. Deb got it last week, now Carol.

Okay...I see now.... So, Mom gave it to Deb, Deb gave it to Carol and CAROL GAVE IT TO YOU.... I didn't know they were all sick...so, yep....YOU had a touch of flu too ::yes::  (and your poor Mom...pinkeye on top of it all :sad2: :headache: )

Morning Homies and hope the day is starting out good for all.

How did you make out with your tire?? ...and, I hope your day wasn't "starting" at 11:16AM

BTW - I just read 13 pages :scared1: :scared1: didn't want to miss anything. :rolleyes1

Have to get up and move around after that 90 minute reading marathon. . . need more coffee :surfweb: going to grind some of my newly arrived vermont maple nut beans :yay: :yay: decaf of course. . . :goodvibes

yeah....after that many pages, yer butt tends to fall asleep if you're not in a comfy seat, sofa, chair or bed ;)

Is Carol your sister? This is yet another subject I'm lost on. Sorry she's having such a rough time. :(

can't remember if this was answered, but yes, Carol is Tricia's sister (who lives next door with their Ma and Carol's partner, Deb)...she has cancer (again :( ) and just had surgery....ongoing mummydust for Carol. :goodvibes

if it rains, then you don't have to deal with a bath tonight for him.
sounds like a plan to me. :goodvibes

BONUS!!! ::yes:: :banana:

i wear ORANGE...............name was McRaven and we don't do green....

EVERYONE is 'green' on St. Patty's Day :thumbsup2 ....besides, 'orange' clashes with our redheadedness :rotfl:
