Oh my goodness Tricia be careful and hope you get better cause I know how ya feel and DW has been complaining with the same thing and told her she needed to take another sick day from work and she won't.
So mummy dust:teleport: feel better soon

Oh no Lawrence. I hope Mary Eva isn't getting it again. :wizard:

MORNING HOMIES!!!!!!!!!!

Tricia - oh you poor thing!! Go get some rest and KEEP HYDRATED!!! Time for the family to step it up and take care of you  We should all consider taking over a development so that we could be homie neighbors and take care of each other:upsidedow :flower3:

Mary - can't wait to see the pics :thumbsup2 Have fun cleaning - then you can come down here and help me out......I have a list of 4 things that HAVE to get done today and 2 of those are the bathrooms  blech

I am headed out to have breakfast with fbean and my best girlfriend since high school (she lives across the street and her husband has been DH's best friend since childhood - yea...sick, I know lol!!) - but after that and between cleaning 2 bathrooms and laundry and cleaning the kitchen, I will be back. and around. and stuff!!

ttyl

Have fun at your breakfast! So where are we all going to move to? Georgia, Florida, South Carolina?

Oh no Lawrence. I hope Mary Eva isn't getting it again. :wizard:

Have fun at your breakfast! So where are we all going to move to? Georgia, Florida, South Carolina?

Hope not either cause its been tough when she sick and trying to keep DS's healthy cause they won't wear thier jackets cause they only want to wear their hoodies but I guess a good thing they can wait in the house cause thier bus stops in front of the house but thats kids for ya they never listen:lmao: :lmao:

Mornin' everyone........

Tricia....I think you have a doctor appt today as well...right? TAMIFLU ..... that could be your friend! Apparently, this is NOT one of the strains of flu we are vaccinated against, that's why the shot seems so in-effective :sad2: but....fluids, rest and i know a few people who say the Theraflu stuff you put in your hot tea, seem to help :confused3 Whatever it is....I hope it's gone quick :wizard: Ironic how it seems to be passing around us here, huh? We're not even in 'personal' contact.... Wonder if being sick here is like women who work/hang out together with 'getting together the same time each month'? :confused3 And, if Brad didn't seem to 'get it' last nite the help you needed, i think it's time to drag little Miss Drama Queen out of the closet and start 'milking it' for worse than it is..... :rolleyes1

And Miss Tracie...... ...better come up with somethin' good for her next (milestone) post..... :rolleyes1

Off to ketchup......

Did someone say LITTLE MISS DRAMA QUEEN????????????

2.gif

HERE I IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm off to drag myself very slowly down the stair to do more laundry. The laundry! Horrors upon horrors! How can there be so much? How??? I had everything, and I mean everything, clean when we left! I wouldn't worry about it, but the boys are running out of things that fit... and our stuff that we wore to the races are a little *ahem* ripe.

Okay...see...this is where i think you're going wrong....You are doing ALL the laundry and cleaning before you go, so naturally, it looks like a cyclone when you get back. If you DON'T do all the laundry and heavy-duty cleaning before you go, the mess isn't AS noticeable when you return... ...see where I'm goin with this.... Just tell MIL, that the place isn't neat and clean as a pin cuz you have TWO LITTLE BOYS....she'll have to deal :snooty: ...either that...or she'll take pity on you and clean it FOR you :rolleyes1

Just a couple pics to tide you guys over.
First pic is just along the side of the driveway - this is the lowest it gets!

:scared1: :sad2: unless you can SKI on it...that's just more than anyone needs.... or WANTS for that matter......

homies don't make bad impressions......
only drunk homies do.

those shall remain nameless..... :rolleyes1

macraven said:
oh please..........that is not a mess. that is clean and organized.
someday i will shock you all and post some pics of the dump here.
i'm sure it will send all of you into a fund raiser for me...

uh....ya know....we still didn't see your vacation pix from HHN :snooty: I'm not holding my breath :sad2: (you know you're bein' a bad homie..... :rolleyes1 )

will i look like the girl in the yellow bikini if i do that treatment?
if so, i'm good

sure...c'mon out here....i'll whip you into shape, give you a makeover, get you tan and moisturized....and viola..... a new wife for Mr. Mac!

i suggest you anonomously sign up dr broomstick for subscriptions from the internet and magazines ...........;)

::yes:: ....send him Playgirl

I hope my kids don't go into sugar shock or anything. Every time either one of them approaches me today, I am throwing stuff at them. Popsicles, lollipops, you name it. If it buys me 5 mins of peace, take it.

:rotfl: MY mental image: dodgeball with food!

Are you tan yet Barb? And, yes, I was doing the Zicam thing before we left... seemed to have beaten whatever it was back... then got hit with this on Sunday. I don't know if whatever this is is something new, or just the old thing that finally took root.

nah...not tan yet....planning to go today (have the day off)...see, the problem is I work till 4. If I leave a couple minutes after 4 (enlighten my relief/next shift), I get home just before Bubba does.... he prefers me to be home when he gets off the bus, so if I stick around to tan, I'd be home after him.....but don't you worry....I HAVE to be tan, so I'm working on it ;) thanks for your concern  Oh...and which 'form' of the Zicam do you use? We have the oral spray, and I swear that stuff dried my mouth out so bad....thought the desert had a new home :headache: (just wondering if anyone else had that problem?)

Wasn't a good weekend for Hendricks Lori, but there is a long season out there. I hope they get it together quick. Oh, and I guess Mark Martin found out what Dale Jr was complaining about all last season with the blown engine thing, huh?

:confused3 help!

And JENNIFER! Thanks for looking for me in the crowds, but I doubt they showed the back stretch grandstands much. If we had thought of it sooner, I could have worn something eye catching... like Shrek on my head or something.

think the TF is over the 'other side' again :headache:

My blond is showing, & I'm lost.

Don't EVER worry about that....you are among LOTS of blondes here!

tarheelmjfan said:
I'll leave the light on for you. Mac, will you pay the power bill? What's a few hundred $ more, right?

actually.....we can sign up for solar-electric and won't cost us nearly as much

tarheelmjfan said:
Don't they ever wonder why that poor man is still alive?

:confused3 You'd think.... :rotfl: But, DH has a few uncles in Fla., his brother, his Dad.... We've been down in Feb. for our niece's wedding....it's never ending....I can come up with LOTS of 'family' reasons to go to Fla...and there is ALWAYS an adult or grownup cousin in the family that will take the littler kids to the theme parks for awhile...just to 'get out' ...so, I never have to worry about Bubba blabbing about riding Hulk 20x in a row

barb - fancy smancy stuff:confused3 , i'm lucky if i scrape up the dough for $3 wednesdays;) ; haven't popped in for 6 weeks, not sure if i'm going to try & keep what little i have left or just wait until May & go fit it again...i'm such a sickly looking pale thing. ps - clicked on the site and almost had a heart attack when the music came on...evidently; my 'lil darlin was playing some tunes last night

i say you maintain tan now and go 2-3 times week....will take more time to "re-base" again...like startin' from scratch :guilty: ..then again, I DO love to lay in there and sleep :rolleyes1 ...note to self: always check volume settings before heading onto the net ;)

I hope and pray that Brad drives down to Atlanta tomorrow to help with Josh's MRI appt, lets Tricia rest , and maybe finds someone to keep an eye on sweet Daniel.

i'm a zombie, couple hours of sleep:confused3 good thing i'm just @ home and can't screw up much

corned beef & cabbage rocks! soooo, did i miss it? almost forgot ash wednesday, real early this year; easter's what - 5 weeks from now?:scared: believe i'm hosting it...perhaps if i don't say anything family will forget?

barb - as cold as it is your plan is making lots of sense to me, only time i'm toasty in the winter it seems is in a tanning bed...still think the hyber-thing looks like something michael jackson would hang out in...remember that chamber it was reported he slept in - oxygen i think to keep peeps young?

going to throw up pics on TR today, just to put it to bed;)

sharon - are u a realtor? i'm taking a break right now, only do referals (i'm in escrow, pull out license every now & again to keep it active). My manger is a realtor but company has a rule that they don't sell/supportive only - one of the reasons i signed up with them years ago...one less shark to deal with

ps was landshark beer ever officially sighted in PA?

off to brew yet another pot of coffee, the magic elixir

The older my DS gets, the more our house has a revolving door. I'm constantly feeding extra people. I don't mind that at all, but I don't know what to feed them. Our DS is an only child, who was raised primarily around adults in his younger years. He'll eat absolutely anything, which makes it harder to figure out what to feed most teens. Lately, we've been ordering out at least 5 nights a week, if not more. I'm really getting sick of it. I need some home cooked meals! What should I fix? Any suggestions for safe meals that any teen should like? Oh yeah, his girlfriend can't eat Mexican for some reason. :confused3 I think his friends would be okay with it though. TIA for saving us from so much take-out. :)

okay...I know I missed all the recipe ideas that were thrown around...but, here's my thoughts on this: fix YOUR family dinner and anyone else who wants to stay, eats what you cook. Period. Why are you trying to accommodate other people's kids? :confused3 If they don't like what you make...they can go home ;) Just my Bubba eats what we eat....I would not fix something special for him...let alone his picky friends :sad2: But, sounds like you got an awful lot of good ideas for some homecooked meals :thumbsup2 ...when's the 'homie dinner party'? :confused3

tricia, you get lost in the laundry, or did you throw sweet Daniel in??? :scared:

 ...glad she clarified she didn't...the way she felt yesterday...anything coulda happened....

We will try not to annoy the new neighbors!

sez you :rolleyes1

The doctor decided Madie had the flu, although she did no tests. It's just the popular thing this week. :sad2: She also has a busted ear drum & something sinus. She prescribed antibiotic ear drops & a stronger antibiotic for her sinuses.

Poor lil thing  How in the world did she burst her eardrum? That has gotta be painful! Are any of the meds the doctor gave you/her working yet? :wizard:

maybe we can do a friends in the box foot therapy day. :goodvibes

 we could have all sorts of 'friends in a box' day with stuff.... :scratchin

I remember snow like that back in 95 or 96. you took you life in your hands pulling out of your driveway and street as there was no place to put it.

Reminds me of living home in the 80's.... At my Mom's house, the driveway on the one side is lined with arborvite trees and to get to the road, you have to drive UP the driveway. When there was enough snow, Ma would have me and my (ex)sister stand in the road at the top of the driveway and watch for traffic...when no cars were coming...we'd wave her on and she'd gun it up the driveway and out onto the road... :rotfl: ....ah....the good ole days...

if you are all okay with it, we will give Damo the other Canandian driver.
i did not realize her pick got shown the right turn exit.

:thumbsup2 i'm okay with it

Hopefully, and i say this with a great amount of courage, and hope , with the resignation of Fidel Castro in Cuba today, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE someday that place will be democratically run again.

Imagine in 20 years a vacation down there for Americans. :goodvibes

I think Fidel has been deathly ill for quite a while now...and HAD handed over "acting" power to his bro a while ago. Guess he just realized he won't be coming back and made it official. I don't see anything changing....and I had no idea Americans were not allowed to travel to Cuba :confused3 ...then again, never wanted to...so, why would I know?

Daniel got a bath, but not in the laundry.

 shoulda gave him a bath IN the washer....now THAT would have been quicker!

Mark is probably already regretting going to DEI. Poor guy.

:confused3 help! again Oh....and here's a question.....since Dale Jr. beat it from the witch...who is driving for her team now....and what is the number and main sponsor?

sorry barb - my 2000th post will be a milestone one.....then again #1700, talking about beer, that is a good one....right??!!?? :lmao:

So, I applied to several places online and NOT ONE has called or e-mailed me back in any manner. No "we'd like you to come in for an interview" or "we're not looking at this time" or anything. :confused3 Most also use that unicron personality thing. Ack.

Now here's a baffler: I applied online for Universal. Again, no contact. I find out that they're having a job fair next week, as they need people, yet no contact! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Quick hi - sorry I haven't been here to read or catch up. I got engrossed in the Twilight series and have either been reading the books or reading the thread about the books on the Community board. Two down, one to go! And then I'll be back - I promise! If any of you have read the books, let me know! If you haven't, you should, but make sure you start them when you have time because you won't want to put them down!

I just scanned up this page - Tricia, I hope you get better soon and get some support from Brad. Step away from the computer and just go climb into bed! Lots of mummy and/or pixie dust for you!

I need to get my DH to fire up the grill more often.

definately a healty alternative :goodvibes

Don't worry...mine too  I'm a NASCAR virigin  (we gots good teacha's here.....)

If you guys thought I could bore you with Nascar stuff, it ain't nothing compared to the cooking stuff I've got stored in my head.

I never said you were boring.....I love to pick other peoples brains.... ....it's amazing the stuff they've got in there! :rotfl:

some dinners i circulate for once a month.
very few for twice a month.

usually make enough so no leftovers

I make enough on Mondays and Thursdays for leftovers :teeth: (cuz of my work schedule)

Only things DW will let me cook are the steaks and some deserts

I think you should get a nice pasta dinner recipe and make her a full meal...beginning to end....and surprise her ;)

Here's a link that might help with the cutting thing:
http://www.askthemeatman.com/london_broil.htm

See? Who would have ever thought there'd be a website called: Ask the Meat Man? :rotfl2:

When he feels tomorrow and the next day, like I do today, guess who WON'T be getting any TLC.

I'm gonna guess Brad ain't gettin' no sweet lovin' :rolleyes1

Hi Guys
I'm around, trying to ketchup!

Amanda and I spent the weekend at my MIL's house. It's about an hour away. We got a coat of primer and one coat of beige on her bedroom walls. If you remember, the walls were a pepto bismo pink. It still needs another coat, but we ran out of paint. Spent the day Sunday scrubbing down her kitchen.

Glad you were productive on MILs house....and I can totally relate to family not helping out...but want to reap benefits from your work :sad2: Probably a good thing you weren't here....everyone is getting sick :headache:

I'm heading to bed early tonight...I think I'm starting to come down with a cold and I can't be sick right now.

Dare I ask? How do you feel today? :(

ps i :lovestruc the simpsons and all that entails...hope everyone decides to skip it the day we finally get to visit in October:wizard:

:lmao: yeah right.....face it...you better budget EPP passes into your budget :rolleyes1

So all this talk of food brings me to say we went to dinner tonight at a place called Cheeseburger in Paradise . It is a place just like Margaritaville and guess who owns it ??? Jimmy Buffett. Well the cheeseburgers were amazing and I am guessing that Matgaritaville is going to be just as good. At least i hope it is. ;)

See everyone later

Been to Margaritaville. Been to Cheeseburger in Paradise. Margaritaville is WAY better than CIP. :thumbsup2 Lots like the nachos (appetizer) I love the quesadillas (appetizer I eat as a meal!) I don't think you'll be disappointed...in fact, Lawrence is the only person I "know" that didn't have a good meal/experience there.... :confused3 Lawrence, I think you need to give them another shot :thumbsup2

Also there was a report on our news tonight about how the flu vaccine is usually effective in 90% of the strains of the virus. This year it is only good for about 40%. At the end of the segment they still recommended people taking it!:confused3 Why, if it isn't working?

In case you get THAT strain of flu that it actually DOES protect against :confused3

You're a much better hostess than I. They get doughnuts for breakfast at my house. :rolleyes1

And you are better than I. They'd get PopTarts here :lmao:

Hope not either cause its been tough when she sick and trying to keep DS's healthy cause they won't wear thier jackets cause they only want to wear their hoodies but I guess a good thing they can wait in the house cause thier bus stops in front of the house but thats kids for ya they never listen:lmao: :lmao:

My kids wear their coats. Mikey has a carhart, actually two, and he really likes them. Ally does what I say. And they don't ride a bus. Mikey drives & I drive Ally.

I said "try". Made no promises!

Poor lil thing  How in the world did she burst her eardrum? That has gotta be painful! Are any of the meds the doctor gave you/her working yet? :wizard:

Who knows. I'm sure it was ear infection & fever caused it to burst. It will heal naturally. She seems to be feeling fine now. Strange thing is she finished antibiotics for her strep throat last Thursday. How in the world did she get another infection bad enough to do that in 2 days?:confused3

 we could have all sorts of 'friends in a box' day with stuff.... :scratchin

:yay:

Reminds me of living home in the 80's.... At my Mom's house, the driveway on the one side is lined with arborvite trees and to get to the road, you have to drive UP the driveway. Very scary!

:confused3 help! again Oh....and here's a question.....since Dale Jr. beat it from the witch...who is driving for her team now....and what is the number and main sponsor?

Jr. had constant engine trouble last year. Had lots of races he couldn't finish because of it. She just is not putting the money in to it to actually stay competitive. It wouldn't surprise me if they end up loosing sponsors & such if she doesn't make some major changes.

The drivers are Martin Truex Jr. - major sponsor Bass Pro Shops/Tracker; Paul Menard - major sponsor Quaker State/Menards; Mark Martin - major sponsor Principal Financial Group/Army.

Personally I don't know why any big name driver would go race for her with what she did with Jr. & how little she is doing to improve their engine program.

big old positive on that   we have them here at our distributor :woohoo: :woohoo:

sorry barb - my 2000th post will be a milestone one.....then again #1700, talking about beer, that is a good one....right??!!?? :lmao:

That is what you came back with when you left us hanging????? Sounds like something I would do!

freakin' tiki bird show still has me screaming......dont like totem poles either. we went in....sitting next to what i thought was a support beam, turned out to be a moving totem pole, screamed my head off.....was traumatized for at least 30 minutes. go ahead and laugh. the whole damn place did.

okay, I'll admit...I laughed when I read this. BUT, I had such the mental image of you sitting there...quiet, calm and plain as day matter-of-factly telling this story.....while, not funny then, i did laugh while reading you TELL the story  note to self: don't sit near any 'support beam' type of stuff :thumbsup2

i realize it is not polite to laugh, but when i see folks saying they are leaving NEXT WEEK and are on the ddp and have no dinner ressies and wonder if they should make them.........

:lmao: I'd say those folks are in for a rude awakening..... :rolleyes1

Example: Our first trip to Disney Studios with Bubba....3 years ago. Had everything taken care of. PS's made, etc.... Went to the Baby Care/Guest Service center to put some charge on our videocamera battery. While sitting in there, I could see out into the 'lobby' area (where you first come in). This woman (and let's just say, she wasn't a tiny, petite thing) came in yelling to whoever would listen to her. Finally a poor CM gave her his attention. She had a park map open and promptly pointed out EVERY place her family had tried to get into to eat. She was hopping mad she couldn't get in anywhere without a 1.5-2 hour wait. I don't think the answers the CM had made her feel any better....what could he do? I would have told her: Look lady....you are spending thousands of dollars to be here on vacation....Do you NOT research HOW you are spending all your hard-earned money? :confused3 There is a fabulous thing called the 'internet' :headache: :rotfl: But....like any big dollar trip....research, research, research..... or, if you're like Janet...obsessiveness, obsessiveness..... :rolleyes1  j/k..ya know i luv ya

At this rate we will be switching homes monthly!

i guess i am the lucky one here.
when mr mac gets sick, he says, "get the hell out of here and let me be alone".........

he takes care of himself when he is sick.

what a trooper! :thumbsup2

looks like the homies are dropping like flies tonight.

sweet sleep ..........

i'll be back later to turn the light out.

uh.....light was on ALL night.... :confused3 luckily the door was locked tho

Hard to tell how much "toxins" I'll have by April 15th.

Jennifer

 I'm guessing quite a bit! :rolleyes1

I'm gonna die.

Okay, we're all gonna die, but I think mine is imminent.

I don't know what this flu is, but oh my heavens it is kicking my butt.

We understand....you just rest as much as you can :grouphug:

Love that holiday thank goodness I am irish

I'm Irish...but don't do anything special for dinner..... Actually, we were married for quite a few years before DH realized I was Irish. I told him..."Uh....you do realize my Grandpop's last name is " O'Neill", right? :confused3 :lmao: ...duh.....

Oh my goodness Tricia be careful and hope you get better cause I know how ya feel and DW has been complaining with the same thing and told her she needed to take another sick day from work and she won't.
So mummy dust feel better soon

Tell her she'll get over it quicker if she stays home now and tries to 'nip it in the bud' vs. getting too sick and then trying to rest. She's prolonging the inevitable :sad2:

MORNING HOMIES!!!!!!!!!!

We should all consider taking over a development so that we could be homie neighbors and take care of each other :flower3:

I am headed out to have breakfast with fbean and my best girlfriend since high school

Yeah...we've mentioned that before...instead of Desperate Housewives, we'd call it 'Desperate Homies' :rotfl2: (Would give new meaning to "There goes the neighborhood") :rotfl2:

So, did your chores get done? How was breakfast? Go anywhere good? Breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out....altho, we rarely do? Why is that? :confused3

Yes there are times we can fill up 3 or 4 pages within 20 - 30 minutes, or so it seems. It is very nice to have such a big group that really likes each other.

WAIT?!? We LIKE each other? :confused3

:rotfl:

So, I applied to several places online and NOT ONE has called or e-mailed me back in any manner. No "we'd like you to come in for an interview" or "we're not looking at this time" or anything. :confused3 Most also use that unicron personality thing. Ack.

Maybe you should just take a resume to the job fair. Good luck with the search. Hope you find something soon.

:lmao: yeah right.....face it...you better budget EPP passes into your budget :rolleyes1

I agree.

Been to Margaritaville. Been to Cheeseburger in Paradise. Margaritaville is WAY better than CIP. :thumbsup2 Lots like the nachos (appetizer) I love the quesadillas (appetizer I eat as a meal!) I actually didn't like our CIP. But I love Margaritaville! Maybe we should choose it for our dinner so Lawrence has to give it another chance!

In case you get THAT strain of flu that it actually DOES protect against :confused3

:sad2: Not gonna happen! They told me I needed to start getting a flu & pneumonia shot after I got sick last year. That isn't going to happen either.

And you are better than I. They'd get PopTarts here :lmao:

Pop tarts or the million boxes of cereal I have here.

So.....

Who wants to take bets on when we have to move? Will it happen before the end of February?????? :upsidedow
