i'm waiting for tricia to come on and tell us how she plans to attack brad tonight.

happened last time she tipped that wine bottle...........

I playing the damn game Todd. I have 7 balls, 2 key cards, 3 keys, and a drawing. What am I supposed to do with the picture over the sofa/futon? I've put the balls in like the drawing shows, but nothing happens. What's the pattern? :confused3

I only had the one glass of wine. Since I've had the ulcer-like symptoms, I've limited my intake.

However, the emotional high I'm on should prove interesting come bedtime... :rolleyes1

Tricia - go to the computer on the desk. Using the drawing as a guide, click on the blue balls as shown. Remember the pattern of the white balls. Go back to the picture on the wall. Click on the balls in the same order as the white balls on the computer. This should open up a key card slot. Here is where I have to stop, as I only have one key card. :headache:

You have to stop and think about all the kids and parents it affected. They now have to go to school one more day at the end of the year. All afterschool sports are automatically cancelled when there is no school. So now you have not only the home highschool but also all the schools that were competing against us in track, basketball, hockey or whatever that now have to reschedule. Then there's all the afterschool clubs, plus all the folks who do adult ed. I think 5 days of suspension is fair. One of the boys has already been suspended 10 days this quarter for having alcohol in his car. Glad I'm not his mom.

But if you were his mom he wouldn't have done it. That is a lot of stuff that has to be made up. They just don't think.

Wow. I can't believe that your son actually comments on your mom like that. No wonder you want to spend the holidays somewhere else!

I'm just annoyingly sick. Not bad enough to be completely miserable, just blah.

That's why I'm here!

But now I'm off to pick up Joshua from school. Wonder if Fluffy and crew will be there... :rolleyes1

I have had very little to do with her since.

So did you run in to Fluffy?

Hello homies thought I would stop by and say hi .
Doing a little better my swollen eye is going down slowly but surely and is still itching but at least its not hurting as bad as the past few days and now can actually blink without letting out a yelp:lmao: and yes I am using the eye drops and eye cream like they say cause Dw said she would hurt me if I didn't:rotfl2: well catch you all later time to put in some that eye cream which mean i won't be able to see well for the next few mins.

Glad it is helping. You'll be better in no time.

i hope my kids think as kindly of me as marci does for her ma:thumbsup2

booked my flight on SW to Vegas:banana: , not too shabby (less than what it'd cost us to fly to MCO on our usual weekend flight):confused3

I'll bet your kids think very kindly of you. You sound like a wonderful mom.

Congrats on finding the great fare.

Lori- The "victim" went after 3 of us. All without merit. HR is looking at it to see if it might be considered false accusations. A dear friend called this morning and I had to give her a hard time for giving me the parrot in the first place. We had some laughs about the things that we could've been busted for but weren't caught when she used to work here.

Hopefully HR can give her the boot. People like her hurt everyone.

remember mr green jeans:) , not Frank Zappa's dad;)

me too.

I know of Kukla, Fran and Ollie... but it was a little before my time. How could you NOT love Captain Kangaroo? Mr Green Jeans was my favorite along with Mr Moose. Grandfather clock (zzzzzz), Bunny Rabbit, Dancing Bear... and who was the guy that always pulled bananas out of his coat? I remember my mom saying he used to be on some real (i.e. "grownup" to me at the time would have been "real") show. Good stuff.

My favorite show by far was Electric Company. The Adventures of Letterman (Gene Wilder), Easy Reader (Morgan Freeman), Carmela (Rita Moreno), geez... Mel Brooks was involved and Bill Cosby... Luis (don't ask me his last name, but I had a HUGE crush on him)... it was fantastic. Like Laugh-In for kids.

I remember hearing Romper Room but we must not have had it here. All the others I fondly remember.

And Electric Company was my favorite too. Wish it was still on for Ally to watch.

I'm making Beef Wellington for dinner.

Wish me luck.

Good luck. I cooked a roast all day and am sitting here eating it as I type.

Janet and Wendy, good for you for quitting smoking for good! Poor Mike is in a perpetual state of trying to quit. He did fill a Chantix prescription, but it is simply sitting on top of our fridge right now. The other day, he found it in the freezer, because I think it fell in from where it sat on the top of the fridge. Some day. And Wendy congrats on the weight loss!

My dad had his filled too. It has been sitting on the kitchen cabinet since this summer. He says he is going to quit after the crap with the divorce is over.

sorry, know lori's dd is a fan & i think she's harmless fun for the tweens; but had to laugh @ the pun on local news channel

hannah faketana...something to do with body doubles & (gasp) lip sinking:confused3 honestly, who cares as long as the girls have a good time? Think it's just disgrunted Fluffy moms (nod to tricia lol) that couldn't get tix & are try to justify it to their princesses in training.

You are probably right. I am sure it is the same ones that filed a law suit against her.

Hey, I heard about that, and supposedly the double was only on stage during costume changes. Is that as bad as lip synching?!

I did try to get my niece HM tickets for Christmas, but let's face it, I was just not that committed!

For the show we wen't to the back up singers did skits while she changed or the Jonas Brothers were back on stage preforming. There was no double.

Don't know why people are trying to mess with her career. At least she is a Britney or Lindsay. Hopefully she has good enough family influence that it won't happen either.

Hey Jodie...I can't get as far as Sharon got in the game. Tell Mike I'm going to try Chantix next month and hope it works for me. It's gonna be a %*$&%!

LOL...no...it's in Japanese but if you go to the homepage you can switch to English.

I went to it just now. I have 7 balls, 2 key cards & 2 keys. Will go back later to try to figure it out. DM what have you done to us?????

Todd, good luck with Chantix! Come back and tell us how it's going. :goodvibes

Can I share my some good news? Seems we've had a lot of bad news lately so I wasn't sure if I should post that Mike's promotion finally came through. Yippee. He totally deserves it. Even though the raise is crap, he's a really good fit for the position, and I'm proud of him.

And, we booked a cruise today. Folks turn 60 this summer, and wanted to do a cruise. We're on RCCI's Mariner of the Seas. Someone here has done Royal Caribbean, right? We've cruised, but not on RCCI yet. If anyone has words of advice or tips specific to RCCI, I'd love to hear them. We go August 31. Should be interesting ... Mike thinks we won't see my parents till dinner time. Mom thinks she's ditching dad and hanging out with us all day. Can't see Mom happy drinking beers all day at the pool? :confused3

Yippee! Congrats to Mike.

The cruise sounds like lots of fun.

one friend put the money she would've spent in a jar as a incentive & went on a cruise:goodvibes

Now that is a great idea.

Hang on to your hats people. I am sitting here with a glass of wine because I am celebrating.

That's right CELEBRATING!

My mom called a little bit ago and Carol is out of surgery. The surgeon was "very pleased" with the outcome. He did not have to enter her chest wall to get the mass. He did not have to remove a rib to get the mass. He is "almost certain" that he got all the cancer. AND there was enough skin to close without grafting.

She's got a long road ahead of her with recovery and post treatment, but how HUGE is this?!?! They think they got it!!!

Oh Tricia that is wonderful. I don't know how you are doing it because I once again had tears streaming down my face. But these were happy tears.

Sharon - One key card is under the floor mat. The other one spits out if you use the computer and turn all the balls white. When you touch one dark ball, it flips to white along with whatever balls it touches... but if a ball is already white, it'll flip back to dark... if that makes sense. Just keep clicking until all the balls turn white.

So, I've entered the code and the door opened. Is that the end of the game?

Tricia, that is GREAT news! I am so happy for Carol and you and your family! Awesome!!!!

Janet, our itinerary is Cococay Bahamas (is that their private island?), St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. That's it. 3 sea days. Been to St. Thomas and St. Maarten so many times don't care if we get off the ship! For Mike, the ship is the destination! No, no connecting cabins, but that is a GREAT idea: feed mum and dad quarters. They'll love it!

Hey Homies!
It sounds like today has been a pretty good day for some of our homies!

Tricia, I'm so happy to hear that Carol's surgery went well! :jumping1:I pray that she will have a speedy recovery and that all is well in the future.

Jodie, that's great news about Mike's promotion! I know you are proud of him! :thumbsup2

Wendy, I took the Alli for a month and never once cheated. I really didin't weigh enough (according to the information on the box) to be taking the stuff to begin with, but I took it anyway and didn't have any problems. I only took it once or twice a day and I lost about 10 lbs, but as I said earlier....the holiday season has been a really bad thing for my weight! I gained it back and I've got to start eating right again. I will probably go back on the diet that is in the starter pack, but I most likely won't buy the pills. I feel like I need to lose about 20 lbs. Keep up the good work, we will be your support group!

Hey Mac! Where have you been? I hope everything is ok your way! I can understand not being around much though, cuz I'm always busy!

Motherfletcher, that's just ridiculous about that woman making those claims!!! She sure doesn't need to go to Universal! What would she think about the Beetlejuice show, Shrek, and the Horror Makeup Show? That woman needs to take a chill pill! Some people......:confused3 :rolleyes1

Hey Barb, Lori, Tracie, Marcie, Mike, Lawrence, Rose, Todd, Mike, Jennifer, Katie, Gema (where's Gema?)...did I miss anyone (I hope not!) Hope everyone else is having a good day today!

Yep, kinda a let down huh? They could have added fireworks or something! :upsidedow
Thanks for the help with the blue balls. I sure was stuck!
Lets see if Todd can solve it now! :thumbsup2

I must be nutsoid. I'm putting myself on a 1200-1500 calorie per day diet for the rest of the month. It's essentially the Special K diet, but I do need to lose 6-8lbs.

It's not going to be any fun, that's for sure.

And I solved it with Tricia's help. :lmao:

What dare I ask is Madame Fate? Will I become obsessed with this game?

Madame Fate is the latest game in the Mystery Case Files series from Big Fish Games. I have all four and YES...they are addictive. It's a hidden object game and you have to solve puzzles between "rounds" in order to finish the game. Madame Fate's puzzles are the hardest yet so it's taking me a LONG time to get through them w/o cheating. If you go to www.bigfishgames.com you can download and play for an hour for free. BUT...be warned...you WILL get hooked and have to end up buying the game.

and if it doesn't work the 1st time...

try, try again:thumbsup2 (cannot remember how many times i tried to quit over the years...i'd manage to quit during pregnancy & fire one back up again ASAP:confused3 )

do know i only drink 1 or 2 frosty ones since i quit, just doesn't seem right not to have a cigarette in my other hand...guess that's a good thing too?

how much is a pack in FL? They were $2 a pack for Malboros when I quit, believe in PA w/tax almost $5 a pack more or less

one friend put the money she would've spent in a jar as a incentive & went on a cruise:goodvibes

My daughter works part time at the local convenience store here in Maine while she is going to college. She said a pack of Marlboros goes for around $5.50 and a pack of Merits is $6.50.

I buy my cigs by the carton which is always cheaper than buying them by the pack. I pay $28.21 for a carton ($2.82/pk) of Marlboro Lights 100s but I've seen them as high as $4.50/pack bought alone.
