Thanks you guys....here's a pic with the flash....(not as impressive).....

......and here's the front window with the classic ceramic tree I made years ago......not exciting, but i live on a dead end street (no, not a cul de sac...a dead end....like road, then guardrail)...so, I don't decorate outside much.... who would i be trying to impress?? The neighbors that live past me I don't like (or know) anyway....

My mother owns a ceramic studio in Virginia and has made MORE than her fair share of ceramic trees over the years.

Thanks...I painted the dining room over the summer...finally got rid of the RED that was here when I bought the place.

That's my little tree...nothing special but it makes the house feel like home you know?

The grass is usually green except in the summer when turns a lovely shade of brown.

hope everything went well today...I hate when you have to straighten that stuff out. Once, I couldn't figure out why we were short in the checking account.... DH couldn't figure, lady at the bank... FINALLY came to ME (of all people!), i added a paycheck in twice... whoops! Yeah, woulda been nice...but, no dice.

Here's our Christmas tree. This is our first year with a faux (sounds better than fake!) tree.

Tracie - our basement isn't going to be finished by any means. We really couldn't even get the access windows at all because the windows we have (the small basementy type ones) are already kind of dug out. Without a major change in landscaping, you couldn't get any further down. But we just don't have the skills or money to do much to the basement. Not going to have the dropped ceiling or finished walls. I'd love to put carpeting in part of it (especially on the stairs), but that's not going to happen while we still have a cat, based on our experiences in our last house.

Tricia - I don't know, the banks I've been to have usually at least pretended to care. Unlike say going to the DMV or cable company! Good luck either way!

Mac - my driveway has those cute little mountains of snow too. Think I mentioned it, but one of them dented my car! So they're pretty solid! If I'm motivated I should go throw some salt on them before I leave for work, but since it's all of 10 degrees, I don't think it would do much anyways!

It took me a long time to paint the inside of the house but it was fun. I have to do the bathroom and extra bedroom but have NO idea what colors to go with.

i have had a headache since the moment i woke up today.
it's that sick type of headache where you think you're gonna die.

of course, can't do that, have to get the tree up and gifts bought first..


later today got the car headlight fixed. now, i'm legal to drive at night again.



and did hit the post office around 4ish today.
to the homie that gets the box, sorry.....

i ran out of package tape and had to choose between the staple gun, electrical tape or duct tape to finish sealing the box.

i'll let you be surprised on which one i used.....



i don't think janet is home. i meant she should check in with us while she is gone so long.
i think she had about a ten day vacay. that makes tomorrow her return day.

How many coats did it take to cover that red? I've got a forest green on one wall that I would love to get rid of.

It look two coats of Kilz to cover the red and then one coat of the color.

Todd - Whatever you do, do not paint your bathroom this color.

That's what I get for letting my daughter pick out the color. She hated the french blue that I had painted the kids bathroom a few years ago, so I said to her, if you want to repaint it, fine. I never thought she would....I swear it glows in the dark!
