Boy, I missed some chatter last night!

I've read everything, but I must run. I have to go to my bank and straighten out some stupid stuff. Oh, what a FUN way to start the week. Can you feel my excitement? It's just oozing out of my pores. Nothing better than getting someone else's mistake fixed and charges reversed. The banks just LOVE to help you out in these situations.

snowing and slick roads here in coastal southern maine.

cookie exchange today. made 6 dozen. personally i hate the way they came out. cherry oatmeal.
packed 4 in a ziploc for the ups man. this was my third recipe try. nothing has appealed to me.


love the griswald car photo. my dad has only owned Ford and we had a few wagons. you could pack them up and still have room for like 10 people. and the pickup on those things!

loved the shrek in NYC pic. ended up buying all 3 dvd's . even DH likes shrek now.

saw part of hairspray- got it thru netflix. to be honest we watched 20 minutes and shut it off. If you like that kind of thing, enjoy. nothing but singing got to me.

working on vacation now.
planning that is.
so.......i really hope we meet. dont care where,,

Trying to get back into the swing of things after last week. Been reading almost everything I missed, so I guess I am all ketchuped

KFish - Great trippie! Love the photos!!
Barb - Awesome pics of your decorations and cookies I have to go up into the attic for Jim's suitcase (going to LI, NY tomorrow for work) and I guess I have to dig out the decorations too......we also get the kids a special ornament every year. This year we got the Mario Galaxy Ornament for Frank, a pair of iceskates for court and I have the tinkerbell in a santa suit coming for Kait.
mac - hope you got some sleep homie.....how did the rest of the family like the apple crisp? I made my list of ingredients for the cookies I am going to make - that is about as far as I will get with baking for the next few days
marcie - got to let us know how the "hang out lounge" comes along. We are going to do something like that after Christmas. We can't fully finish our basement until we get an emergency exit - the kids could fit out the window, but there is NO WAY my big old butt will make it through! Really like the pictures of your decorations
Tricia - thank goodness it was just brother visiting.....that is stress you don't need to deal with right now!

Tracie - our basement isn't going to be finished by any means. We really couldn't even get the access windows at all because the windows we have (the small basementy type ones) are already kind of dug out. Without a major change in landscaping, you couldn't get any further down. But we just don't have the skills or money to do much to the basement. Not going to have the dropped ceiling or finished walls. I'd love to put carpeting in part of it (especially on the stairs), but that's not going to happen while we still have a cat, based on our experiences in our last house.

Tricia - I don't know, the banks I've been to have usually at least pretended to care. Unlike say going to the DMV or cable company! Good luck either way!

Mac - my driveway has those cute little mountains of snow too. Think I mentioned it, but one of them dented my car! So they're pretty solid! If I'm motivated I should go throw some salt on them before I leave for work, but since it's all of 10 degrees, I don't think it would do much anyways!

hope everything went well today...I hate when you have to straighten that stuff out. Once, I couldn't figure out why we were short in the checking account.... DH couldn't figure, lady at the bank... FINALLY came to ME (of all people!), i added a paycheck in twice... whoops! Yeah, woulda been nice...but, no dice.
